My first attempt at making a stock is as follows:
Attack Speed: 0.629
Wound: 4
Attack Cost: -17
I used link-steel aluminum 4 pts off the best ever spawn, and the best spawn wood to make. My question, is the high speed worth the low SAC? I'm the newest of new weaponsmiths, and have a lot to learn. I'm starting at the components and will be working my way up. I figure the resources and components used in a weapon should be as important if not more important than the actual final build of the weapon. I really only want to make exceptional weapons for now, but I may eventually get into making standard runs ofweapons.
I've read all the FAQs, but I still have no idea what to aim for when making a standard weapon, only exceptional because I know them. I know -17 SAC is the best post-CU you can get, so I experimented to that, and then put rest into speed.

Mine are:
Speed: 1.184
Wound 4
Action cost: -24
So yes I think your 2nd batch are right where they want to be.

Still usin up some pre-CU stocks myself, for custom weapons at least.
Attack speed 0
Wound 10
SAC -20
See if you can find any of these pre CU components on your vendor search and buy em up quickly.

Thanks for the replies. My final go before manufacturing was:
Speed: 1.154 (0.1154)
Wound: 4
SAC -24 (99%)
Anybody gotten the SAC to 100% expto see if it hit -25?
