Arbee, we are on the same server. We recently had a spawn of Pikan Diatium Copper, which is the best to ever spawn on Corbantis. So, if you haven't already grabbed some of this stuff, I suggest you get some because you never know when we will have Diatium this good again. There should still be plenty of it floating around out there at reasonable prices. In case you aren't aware, Diatium Copper is used on Advanced Blaster Power Handlers, so if you ever plan to make a blaster you'll need some of this.

Following is a short list of some of the best WS materials to spawn on Corbantis (that I'm aware of). These are extinct so you might not be able to find them, but if you ever happen to come across them buy up everything you can:

  • Ebicoluv Irolunn Reactive Gas

  • Omosis Phrik Aluminum

  • Ehalio Polysteel Copper

  • Carbelosis Duralloy Steel

  • Abiso Carbonate Steel (very rare stuff, the best steel to ever spawn on Corbantis, though Carbelosis is very close in quality)

  • The current crop of Gallanorian Rainbow Gemstone (can't remember the name, but it's currently in rotation)

  • Areva Titanium Aluminum (not sure if this is the absolute best, but it is very good stuff that's hard to find)

  • There's a Plumbum Iron that spawned a couple of months ago with OQ over 900--sorry I can't remember the name but it starts with 'Carb-----' something.

  • Ioersis (sp?) Quadranium Steel - Also in current rotation though it will probably shift soon. It has the highest UT for Quadranium Steel that I've been able to find

  • Reonid Chromium Aluminum

There are others, but I'd have to check my resource inventory first. Good luck in your WS endeavors.

This is a great post for someone like myself who is plugging along slowly. Luckily I went from DE to WS (well only 0320) and have a bunch of steel with SR1000 and some good iron as well. I just have to get through the grind now so that I can get the exp points needed to make good weapons.

This gives me great insight into what resources to be on the look out for, and unfortunatly the ones that have come and gone.

Another good advice is to download Fooman's Weaponsmith tool at http://www.swgcraft.com/downloads/SWGWSToolV5.0.zip

This made my life as a MWS really easy and efficient.

You just put in all your resources in the spreadsheet and then select a weapon to make, and it'll sort out the best resources to use. Before this tool, it took me about 10-15 minutes to go through all my resources to find the best one. Now it takes a couple of seconds.

Plus, there's an import feature from swgcraft.com current resource section that compares with your resources and computes if they are better.

A must have for any weaponsmith!

My next question is with the exp points of master WS can I still compete even though there are other WSs with +# skill tapes?

Skilltapes have no effect on damage and it seems like most customers never look at HAM or accuracy.

POKEY THE PENGUIN SIG REMOVED BY GARVA BECAUSE "Just because you are crafty enough to get around the technicality of it being a .jpg or .gif does not mean it is not an image, it is not ascii art, it is an image" SO HERE IS MY NEW SIG.
