Thread: This is just a major slap in the face ...

Nope sorry not true.... I have pre pub 21 and post pub 22 items in diffrent bags. Made a nice E11 MarkII and it came out "Blast" and 1 point of dammage. I looted all the parts myself, as my alt is a BH. so some of the itmes can (not always) be buged... I'm just not going to use what I have until it's all fixed

sry for what ? & are you saying that you used stocks or scopes looted after 22 and the e11 II turned out w/ blast dmg ?





Yes he is. I forgot that occasionally, they scopes and stocks are still bugged.

well im just wondering because i talked to a couple of poeple who alrdy got new wepaons made post 22 and they didnt turn out blast... and now a few of you are saying they are still bugged.


my best bet is to hold onto my cells and scopes for making my personal trando then..

Well, they're only bugged occasionally. Which kinda makes this like a lottery.

The only possible problem I see is that the fix didn't work for all scopes and stocks. So, how long until it's fixed to 100% proper damage.

I busted my butt looting the best parts I could find including advanced scopes and stacks and Power Cells with 185 damage and not to mention the Barrel you have to loot in the Avatar. Took me almost 2 months to loot top of the line stuff and this is what I get. It's a major slap in the face after all the work I put towards it.

Dude. Chill. We have been over this already many times. There is code coming out to fix this. We don't know WHEN it is coming because it has to be thoroughly tested. You will get your gun back, but it will take some time. And you know what, it will still be a good rifle in the future. so ease up, cool dem heels, and wait for the cavalry which should be coming directly. they are not picking on you, they are not picking on our profession, and there is no conspiracy to get players to quit.

there will be NO eta given on this. they tried that and found that they were under huge community pressure to hit those eta dates or absorb the resulting flames and have chosen to not give dates anymore. it comes out when it comes out. just do your thing, and eventually your rifle will get fixed...

Ok first, I wrote the post when I was ticked off still sorry if it came off like a was flying of the fence but you gotta admit, that if you had no odea of this bug and this happened to you you would be a little mad too. Second, the only reason I ask an ETA is because from what I have seen they were planning to have the fix in for the Publish that is now on TC. Also, I had absolutlty no idea this was a documented bug that has been around for a while when I posted it. It was the first I had heard of it when I made my rifle I have no problem waiting for the fix, I was meerling asking if it is something a CSR can fix or not. When did I ever say they were picking on me lol! This problem has been happening to alot of people (especially people making NS Elec Lances) and never said "omg SOE hates me they are trying to make me quit!" lol.


Like I said, I have no problem waiting, I just wanted to see if there was any new info when this is gona be fixed because everything I saw said it would more than likely be in the Patch that is on TC.


Until it's fixed, I will just hang it on my wall and dream about killing with it.

Most of this has been covered at this point but I just thought I would sum it up for you.


1. Currently only two components are known to cause this to occur, the newly looted BH scopes, and the newly looted BH stocks.


2. If the components were looted prior to pub22 then they will cause this bug, if they were looted after pub22 then they are safe to use.


3. They have stated that they will be resolving this issue when they release the weapons validation code which will be validating all weapons stats to make sure they are within ranges and adjusting those that are not.


4. Due to the obvious potential issues with this if it is released prematurely they are not realeasing an ETA yet because it still has to go through some serious testing before something like this gets released. They know that everyone is excited to see these fixes but they certainly also know what happens if something goes wrong and suddenly your awsome gun ends up with the same stats as a CDEF.


5. Yes this code will effect all existing weapons, which is why they are trying to be very careful on the release.



Patience is the key here, they are aware of the issue and are actively working on it. When it is ready it will be released and unfortunately due to previous experiences with releasing estimated dates SOE has decided that itis not helpful to anyone to attempt to estimate these dates until they are sure that they can be 100% accurate on them, which typically does not occur until they are basically ready to release to the public.

I am, like many others, anxious to make my super awesome weapon. I have new scopes and some nice tissues, and I'm using an average weapon right now.

The scope issue? Ridiculous. You add something new to the game, you test to make sure it works. What, they made new scopes and never tried crafting with them? I guess this is a whole can of worms really.

But anyway, my point is I want a new gun with this new loot I've found. I would like to use it now because after almost every publish I have to decide whether to quit the game or not. I would like to use it before that.

I've done it too on numerous custom weapons... all post pub 22 BH scopes and stocks...
