start buying (i know u need money), but start buying advanced components from him, a crate of advanced blaster power handlers, 25, what is that going to run?

I have never seen anyone selling components, because it's not profitable, it's a waste of resources, and why should you give other people the means to take away your customers?

uhm because all the crates of my "old" crappy components are worthless to me, and are still 10x better than any novice would make, I used what I could in different weapons, then ditched the rest to a novice weaponsmith, mostly barrels/power handlers etc...

heheh i mastered weaponsmith back in july

novice weaponsmiths cant make money the smartest thing to do is as stated early

use all your extra lots for harvesting, stockpile, and do faction missions

it passes the time and you can make some money inbetween grinding sessions..

people think weaponsmiths are rich heheh they are but only after they establish a customer base..

weaponsmithing is one of the hardest proffessions to be in there is alot of competiton. insane amount of resources you need and it very very time consuming if you want to be a great smith you are going to have to work your buttocks off..

Not sure if this is gonna help you as I don't know the build of your character, but I am in the process of making a master Smuggler and master Weaponsmith.

Currently all my lots are used, house with vendor, 4 medium mineral mines, 1 personal gas harvester , 1 moisture vaporator, 2 wind power collectors.

My smuggler so far is 2,2,0,4 and my weapon smith is 0,3,0,0 (which ever one is firearms crafting). I make money in the following ways

1. Moun gold sales - My mate has a factory I gave him schematics andresources and he makes me it in crates of 25 which i then tout at starports and on my vendor in house.

2. Selling 50% of all the grind quality only crap resources I harvest everyweek (I keep the other 50% for my grinding use )

3. Sell 20% of the good high quality resources I mine everyweek. (the bottom line here is that by the time I hit mater there will be other good quality / better quality resource spawns so I may aswell make money out some of the good stuff while I can - the remaining 80% i keep so i at least canmake some good weapons once i graduate to master)

4a. Slicing weapons - ok i only have slicing 2 but some people just grinding out marksman do not want to pay master smugg prices for a slice on a 2 bob weapon they are gonna ditch so I do it at 50cr per %. Most of them give a hadsome tip on the top

4b. Slicing-terminals - on the grind to master smuggler so i have to get slicing 4 at some stage, slicing terms only gives 100 slice XP but you a get a significant % increase in the reward payout. When you are trying to make it in the galaxy every credit counts.

4c. Slicing containers - I have hit the jackpot twice now and got a blue crystal and a purple crystal, these go for 200k + on most servers, although this is down to luck, hell it still makes money

Most of my income comes from selling grind quality crap to hologrinders, the best thing about this is that they are prepared to pay over the top prices just as long as they can get that little bit closer to jedi that little bit faster. e.g the other day i was touting resource sales at coronet starport, I had 50k of real crappy steel for sale and I mean it was real crap it had OQ of 210, i wouldn't make a toilet with that let alone a gun. Someone was pimping for grinding steel, they pmed me and said they needed to get through WS asap, I said holo career, they said yes. I said make me an offer on the 50k steel, they said 4.5cpu sound ok ? I though hell yeah !!!!!!!!!!!! i wasn't expecting to make more than 2cpu on that pile of **edit** !!

The long and short of it is that selling resources you harvest will net you more money at novice level than selling crap weapons, the trick is to find the hologrinders who have more money than sense and you want to do it quick while holos are still part of the path to jedi, which will soon be changing.

****DO NOT BECOME A WEAPONSMITH IF YOU WANT TO MAKE MONEY.****

Why can't people understand that. If you enjoy making weapons, become a weaponsmith.

If you want money, do missions and/or camp for lightsaber crystals.

WEAPONSMITH IS NOT CREDITSMITH.

Now, that being said, I wish they would do something more along the lines of Slicing with regards to weapon results, and simply have master weaponsmiths getting a higher chance at better weapons, meaning a novice can make a weapon just as good as a master, just very rarely.

However, I must re-iterate - if you are trying to make money DO NOT BECOME A WEAPONSMITH - at the moment it is a money-sink, not a money-maker

If you have Master Artisan , you can Make and sell Personal Harvestors. I make enough to support my Weaponsmith habit

Haden Blackman: Yeah, all the guys who are happy with everything are playing the game. They aren't spending their time sending you guys letters or posting on the forums.

I made 25k a day off the bazar in Kor Vella making handmade average weapons. It can be done, and after a week you have a boat load of money and you get xp doing it. Actually this is when i actually enjoyed being a Weaponsmith, the custom weapons looked cool and it wasnt such of a resource grind. You need to be at least 0014 to make anything decent though.

Here is another little tip, get some medium harvs or a fusion or two and sell resources on the side. Rads alway sell good and Architects always need ore in mass quanitys. In a week you can have 200k

I do the same, mine are priced to moveso I go through about 3 factory runs a week. Not much as far as profits but it keeps me afloat and certainly pays for the maintenance on my harvestors.

Yep and I'd do it just to help out another player. Too bad so many MWS actually fit the stereotype that people have of us.

Getting loud for the silent majority.
