The 12 arnt actually needed unless you get a moderate success, with all greats a 10 point can max damage/speed on any weapon if you get a moderate though the extra 2 help.

Using 41/41 cores, 990 SR kammris iron, 1k SR duralloy steel and 870 SR copper i get 471 max, With the cap on acklay bones being 350 i belive you can get a 830 max pre slice hammer, but 10 creds say it gets speedsliced.

Also when the geo cave just opened there were some bones dropping with insane stats, like 400 - 500 max, they were nerfed shortly after
