It's a poisoned chalice. Good luck to whoever applies.
QFECorrespondent is an underappreciated job. Devs use you as a meatshield to stave off the raving lunatic fringe of the player base...meanwhile said raving lunatic playerbase fringe is chewing out your ass because you didn't "make" the Devs fix something or other.

Whoever gets it, best of luck.
Slim Vargo, Corbantis
For some crazy reason at one time I wanted to be Cor, applied twice. Now I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. I've taken a growing pessimistic attitude toward the development recently. This latest resource buff fiasco is a prime example. If they had actually _asked_ our Cor "hey what do you think of XX", I'm sure they'd have realized it was a bad idea. Instead they sent the dancer/music Cors to each forum looking for ideas from any and everyone and it seems to me they just picked em out of the blue without consideration of what could happen. I think whoever does apply should be already be aware of what they are in for given the history by now.

That's not exactly how it went down. Mor-Dan could have participated in any of the threads in the corr forum when these were being discussed - I know other non-Ent corrs did. He also could have participated in or encouraged you guys to participate in the brainstorm thread in the Dancer forum - I know other non-Ent corrs did.
These weren't done in secret, I have no idea why he had to be told about them after they were already on TC by one of the posters in here. It's not because they were a secret though - he had a chance to participate in the discussions as much as the Ent corrs themselves.
Also, no corr hand picked any of these buffs, they only gave feedback and passed on suggestions they had been given. Again, the WS corr had the same chance to do this.
Unfortunately, it looks like he just didn't have very much interest in taking part in the discussions until he decided to demand that they be nerfed. If he had suggested some alternative buff specifically for WSs instead, it's highly likely they would have replaced the resource buff with some other bonus entirely.
I personally don't care if the buff is 1% or 100% nor do I care what it buffs, but it would be nice if the corr for the community the buff is designed to enhance actually took the interest and helped offer solutions that would mutually benefit both communities like some of the other posters in here have tried to do.
Anyway, corring is pretty much up to the individual, so I'm sure Mor-Dan did what he felt was best. Good look to all the new applicants - maybe now that this is an issue everyone in here is interested in you will be ready to pursue some additions and tweaks in the corr forum when you get back there. ![]()

I applied for the position but also gave them some names of people I thought would be good.. among the names I mentioned are summerflame, shugflurry, corenlanra, and a few others I see around and think would do a good job.
If I were to vote it would probably be for summerflame... given us good info and organized ideas.
Good luck to those who applied
i agree that summerflame is the most appropriate choice based on objectivity and willingness to help...i just hope if she does get it it doesnt sap her like many before her.
/salute
you have my vote

At 1% it will help noone. The Dancers/Musicians will not get anymore business because 1% won't matter. The fact of the matter is that your Corr. did not in any way participate in any discussions, nor did your community. In the end you cried for a nerf without even testing it on TC. The fear that some upstart might could make as good of stuff as the established WS could, which is false, they would have made better than they do now, but they still could not have matched the established WSs with their hoarded resources since the buff allowed you to exceed the normal stat maximum.
Way to beat down another profession without even giving it a try.
1% will help no one? How can it not help?
Testing WAS done on TC with regard to stats. Have you tested your assumption that no one will want the buff from you?
Also, I believe that while in theory the resource stats would go beyond 100%, you couldn't actually Experiment beyond 100%. I stand to be corrected but that's the way I read the stats.
Bottom line is, if they ever up the % from 1-2 it will cause few problems compared with what would have happened if 10% went live and they found it was too high. This would have been a disaster, and it's a figure that many profs, not just WS and including some of the Entertainer classes who are a bit more clued up, agreed was too high.
And please, quit with the tired old cliché regarding competition. It's an old chestnut. Crafters are in competition all the time and always have been. Thescenario that would have killed competition completely, and forlongtime in the future, would have been 10% going live and then being nerfed.

Thanks for posting this.Mor-Dan was a terrible correspondent and after all the immature whining posts he made in the CU sandbox alpha I have no idea why he was selected. There are alot of smart people in here, but the correspondent requires more than just knowing the profession.I hope Shug considers applying for the position, he is the best cheerleader in here, I've never seen him make a trolling post and always seems to have a good attitude.
Hahahaha good attitude meaning that 99% of my posts I use synonyms for words I'd like to use but cant?

Somehow I don't think I qualify for that... positive.. hrm...
I'll apply if people want me to but honestly I think we're better off with Summer/Stettin than myself
