Thread: SAC Question
14-point Artisans can make 20-ish% damage pups with virtually no speed penalties (apx. 1%). Imo, it's better to go with a damage/SAC experimented weapon and use a good damage pup rather than a high DPS/high SAC weapon with a SAC pup. Why is that? Compare the max damage ratings on both weapons--they will be the same, or very close, and the speed difference will only be a couple tenths of a second. And if you're a CL 80 combat toon, such a little speed difference won't matter that much, even less so if you have FS speed skills and/or speed skilltapes. So using a max damage/SAC weapon with a good damage pup you'll be doing more damage with minimal speed difference.
If you aren't a CL 80 toon then it probably is better to go for a high DPS weapon as speed will likely be more important to you.
Though DPS looks sexy, and is good for selling weapons, for the most part I primarily make just max damage/SAC weapons. In my opinion, this makes for a superior weapon build.

Hi all
I browsed the Jedi FAQs and tried to find a chart on LS attacks/SAC costs (how much action I used on each specific attack). Maybe it's there, but I just could'nt find it. That being said, I find my use of action to be different in different situations.
For old times sake I grinded gurks yesterday and I noticed that when I had all gurks from one lair attacking me I used humongeous amounts of action, and was empty before the first heat was gone. I had doc speed buff, accargm, and other foods (no one that had negative action-cost).Later on (on the next heat) i switched to my double-bladed saber and after killing a couple of gurks and switched back to my 2-handed. Suddenly my actioncosts was reduced again, and I could solo the next heats without my action dropping as fast as the first gurk-heat.
The saber I used had 121 SAC (yes I know its terrible, and therefore I crafted one with 98 now), but my group had 118 and 125(?) on their sabers and they didnt loose even near to my action-loss. I have experienced this before and I am beginning to think that this have something to do with the amount of critters attacking me (they always attack me since I have the best damage-saber). We all used infusion and aura.I used spin-attack as default attack on the lair, but normally I have saber strike as my default. (I have the same problem then). I know I have a faster saber than my friends, but it shouldt be THAT big difference.
Any comments other than "Jedi is fuc**ed", "Jedi is dying", and other unneccecary comments would be appreciated. Thank you.Message Edited by Loupgaroo on 08-30-2005 08:53 AM
The one that used spin-attack used improved version, and I only use to first version.
Even if my attack uses more action, I still cant explain why the action-cost seems to be worse when encountering multiple enemies.
edit: grammar

Are you spinning so fast or something with your buffs?
Check your speed from combat logs.
It should not effect that much compared to others.

My point exactly.... And why did my action-cost returned to "normal" in gurk-heat 2 ?
