One serious problem.
Try crafting stocks with the new buffs and let me know what happens.
The speed is now higher. I start out at i think it was 1.752 or 1.702 with the new buffs. Somehow this is bugged as without the buffs my speed starts out lower, i think around 1.4 or so.
Another WS informed me of this on my server so i tried making some stocks and got the exact same beginning stats. We use the same resources.

I used Aquipiri & Apocine and compared it to my pre-pub23 stocks and they were better. I managed to get a -25SAC (8 Amazing + 1 Amazing = 100%) then got 3Amazing on speed to make it +1.15xx. I did my -23 build with 8 Amazing SAC and 4 Amazing speed and got speed under +1.0 at .98xx or something close.
yep .. Coronet SP will probably start filling up again with lines to entertainers buffing .. lol
but then again, they may not be able to buff there since its considered outside, right?

What have you tried?
Components yesterday, and weapons today.
What differences have you noticed, if any?
Small.Enough to make it beneficial (if you can get the buff) but not enough to make WS totally uncompetitive if you don't get them.
Do you like it?
Yes, and no. It adds to weapons without making the whole thing a cutting cookies exercise. But I still don't like the idea in principle. Thing is, now it's here, it's not going away.
What level of help do you believe this offers?
See above answer.
In what ways do you see this as negative? a positive?
Negative = Why do we need resource enhancement? Crafting has always been, to some extent, a game of patience, and of reaping the rewards if you have the patience.
Positive = Thank god it wasn't 10%. 2% adds a bit, but doesn't make the buff absolutely essential. It doesn't put buffed weapons way out of sight of unbuffed weapons.

I just can't believe that they remove the doc buffs so everyone wouldn't have to buy them before doing any form of hunting and combat and then effectively give crafters a similar constraint. I looked around for hours last night for a musician atk and finally gave up and logged.
I think I posted something to that effect in the original TC thead. I know I'm gunna be ticked off when I can't find a musician and need to get some custom orders done.

That's a negative I forgot to add, perhaps because I haveaccess to a newly created bufferto do it.
That in itself is another negative, the fact that for all serious crafters the buff is a must. In the long -term Entertainers aren't going to benefit too much. I actually have no need to visit a cantina now that a buffer has been arranged, I actually did visit them before. Entertainers need content of their own, they don't need to be machines there for the sole reason of allowing other professions to perform at their full potential.
In some ways I hate to say that after the vitriolsome of thempoured oncrafting profs, esp WS, when we pointed out the failingsof 10% being too high. Buffing ALTs are back, just that now they are not Doctors but Entertainers.

I have tried the WS buff. I could not get it from an AFK entertainer. They have to click on you and /inspire and choose the type of inspiration (at least as of last night).
I saw minor changes to the stats of stuff I crafted.
Having said that, I HATE IT! For the third or fourth time since the CU, I have to remake all of my subcomponents due to changes. I'm one of those folks who has to have their product the best it can possibly be prior to submitting it for sales. Well, all my subs are not the best they can be because of this change, so I got to make them again. Unless I'm wrong, they did not alter pre-made subcomponents with any 2% boosts. This is really urking me!! let me break down my subcomponents and get my UBER resources back out of them then!
I see this is a negative for long time resource horders as we all know that we have spent millions getting the #1's in many cases and there may have not been much difference between that and a #2 or 3...cept CPU! It's bad for resource sellers as well who concentrate on selling the most uber resources.
On the positive side, it allows less affluent people to get a spiff on their products because they can't afford the "uber" resources.
On the negative side, it allows "Lazy" people to get a spiff on their products because they are too lazy to care to search for the best of materials for their clients.
On the negative side, it "dumbs down" our profession by 2% more (that's not much, but its getting dumber by every 2% change or cap or whatever they do).
On the positive side, it made me think, hey, removing or raising the caps will fix all of the above and I think shut up most weaponsmiths.
