BTW publish 24 fixed the cool down timers...
This means that your weapons speed efects how fast each of the cooldown timers work both for same shot back to back and for 2 different shots (4 hours testing in game) and they cannot be bipassed any more(ala sploit)
With this in play DPS actaully means alot... not only will a lower speed, speed up your cooldown timers... but as it is now you cannot spam fire 2 specials (like critical / headshot) back to back without hitting a cool down timer. (while a .15 second pause may not be noticed while playing, when you run your ingame dps ... you will see that that tiny pause will mean abount 1 less shot every15 or so seconds... which in a long battle realy adds up)
This is going to make the demand for DPS weapons go up once the community realizes this.
Fromtesting it looks like the best way to use specials is to run Special 1, ranged, Special 2, ranged...
Running ranged everyother shot.. will allow you to not hit the cool down timer (with a very low modified speed).... and will really help out with sac.
This translates to a 400 dps 71 sac weapon using the combo above will out damage and use less sac then a 380 dps sac capped weapon trying to spam 2 specials.

From a fellow Scyllan and a (basically) retired WS since the CU, good job Haanover. Scylla is still alive and kicking even after maybe 80% of the crafters have left or retired.

and thx androo fellow Scylla WS. This was a goal i set to hit as a WS and i finally did it. I decided toshared it with the SWG WS community cause i know alot of us have personal weapon goals and when we hit them it is very satisfying even though yes its only a video game ![]()

I work on Bria....SAC thats 75 and below is considered to be good enough to work with if you have Blob Candy, you made a nice gun, hold ur head high...dont be discouraged by the flames here....this gun would fetch 5mil easily if it were on Bria....I agree that DPS isnt really a huge difference maker, but noone can convince the customers otherwise. So until i can convince people DPS isnt what its cracked up to be....i craft for high dps and slice for speed.......very nice gun....keep up the good work
