Made my alt 2 the other night. 2.6 speed 339 max dam. They both got damage slices putting them in the 415 MaxDam range without a powerup. I was happy with them and the slicer got a 50K tip.

Best I made, was today.
10pt Yellow cube, 10pt solidifying agent:
something to 333 damage, 2.6 spd.
Only about the 3rd I've made.

Best ive ever made, and never ever got close to again was 242-316, using looted cores with stats ive never managed to get since. It also got a 34% damage slice and needless to say i kept it for myself lol. It's now 324-423 and suffering from condition exhaustion at about 490 - I'm too scared to use it anymore

Youll want to make your own cores with yellow cubes and solidifying agents.
99% of the looted cores are crap.
You oughta be able to make better scythes than that.
I dont expect your resources to be to blame but I only know your resources for regular weaps are top quality.

I've only made 2 and they were identical (not from a factory)
I used yellow cores and paste
Condition: 946/946
Spd: 2.6
Dam: 192-331
Wound: 24.5%
Range mods: -1 across the board
HAM: 48-71-41
10 pont smith.

My yellow/agents scythes are about 200-345 @ 2.6, best ive ever made was 200-349 with my own crafted geo cores

Yup yup...I managed to make an a*s of myself trying to give advice on that one 
On a side note how are your flamers JB?
I finally got some decent steel and got 845 max dmg 4.6 speed.
Ive been living with my head up my a*s, thinking that the stat cap on cond for steel was 450.
got some 603 cond 959 OQ stuff now.

Best: 200 - 342 2.6 speed
Best Slices: 1.7 speed and 456 max

I´ve crafted three scyths only with white cubes and with very low quality sol paste (+10 dmg)
and my scyths were 330 max dmg spd 2.6 which is very good concidering not using yellow cubes.

I just started crafting scythes for the first time this weekend. I'm still a bit new to the profession, at least working with high end weapons. My best was only 309 with looted cores. I had no idea that I could build them myself until someone brought me a schematic for them. /slapsforehead. Anyway... I'm assuming the best cubes to use are the yellow?
Guess I need to spend more time in the caves.

The best crafted one I made using a Core I created was 365max damage 2.6speed
THe best crafted one I made using looted components was 2.2speed 345max damage.

LOL Yes, I once got a 9% speed slice on a Krayt scatter pistol... how enjoyable that was.
Best crafted Scythe I've seen I believe was 2.6 194-360-ish, best one I have on hand is damage sliced 2.7 220-388 (also have a 2.1 184-328 and 2.2 180-324 speed sliced ones). On a side note my Executioner's Hack was crafted out to 3.5 140-283 with green cubes sliced with 29% damage to 3.5 180-365.

I was under the impression the lowest slice a slicer cna get is 10% (maybe it's 9% if it happened)
but if less than that is possible I never had one below 12% from a person with slicing 4, and I never had below 15% from a person with Master Smuggler for as long as I've been a Weaponsmith (last late July)
