Was this originally supposed to do something, but never worked? Is it broken? Does anyone know what it IS supposed to do? Is it just for looks?I searched through the FAQs and didn't find the answer to this question, so I thought I'd go ahead and post my question here...Thanks much! That's interesting data. Guess my customers will be getting a price break on my next run since I will not be using control units in them.
Just to be specific, there were no differences in Speed/Damage, Range Modifiers, Wound % (big deal), or HAM costs between the different versions your made?
If anyone remembers....
Weapon Repair kits at one time had slots for Control Unit, Microsensor suite, and something else. These were eventually taken out of the schematic and the schem changed to just minerals. This should tell us that SOE knows they do nothing, just didn't want to deal with it.

Oh, they'll handle it with the Crafter Balance, scheduled just a few short months after the Combat Balance. (haha)

I carry (or used to carry when I was Master Rifles before I had to switch rifles for vendors) a gorax enhanced damage sliced powered up Spraystick. The thing was fast and hard and unbeatable for lair busting.
When it's time to bust a stupidly tough target (like an Imperial Flag floating on a stick that has 60k HAM) you spam your hardest hitting specials with it and do so darn fast.
I'd even outdamage commandos on lairs this way. It's not a key weapon but it sure does have it's uses.
