don't remember each individual stat but i bought a full suit from a retiring WS on the trade forums consisting of boots gloves pants and a belt for 26 mil. now i am +24 (the suit was +21 and i got a WS toolkit) but the toolkit has the only assembly mods that i have so far.

I looted my +6 shirt, and stuck a +1 into a pair of pants so Im at +7, add a tool and im +10. Also got a +2 tape, now a +2 swoop helm, and +2 belt, I also ahve a +1 spare somewhere so either 2 +2 or a +3 will get me to 12pt. Still got gloves and vest/cloak left to fill up.

That does not make sense. The deciding factor of how good your weapons will be is the quality of your resource. The extra 2 points are nice but not critical. (They only make your weapons slightly more accurate or cost less HAM)

I agree, with the price of skill tapes it just wouldn't be profitable.

I think I spend about 48 million credits for my extra two points on Eclipse, which was almost a whole years income for me at the time. Looking at how much better the weapons become, one can hardly say it's "worth it" - but I sure feels good to have those extra points. I almost always stick them into better condition, especially when making rare loot-weapons. A few measy points better to hit is not really useful, and noone bothers with HAM cost these days when buffs and brandy are common practice.
Also, sometimes it's really good to have 2 extra points when making rare weapons. If the worst happens and you get a moderate success, you can still most often max out damage and speed with the two extra points.

took me 4 months and 53mil... I however, do not need to use that #*%$@ toolkit. I can now wear a backpack as much as i want. I agree with Tomper, I put all my extra points into condition... with buffs, no one seems to care if ham is two points lower.. and the 12 points has saved me since I get more moderte successes than should be possible, got as many as 5 on one weapon before.... it will only save me until i get a speed slice tho.

just bought a +15ca for 40 million. i share it with another crafter so it was 20 million a piece. i had the toolset and a random plus 1 sitting around my house so i went out and bout another +1 tape for the low cost of 700k.
it is definetly worth it on my server as everyone that is gonna make money on rare or loot enhanced weapons better be 12 point.
