This is a really great thread. As somebody grinding the WS tree, this could be the light seen at the end 100,000 rifle barrels. I'd love to see hours spent online with those number of sales a day. My real question is this: Where are you all getting 20-30 lots from to place all those structures?

i have 2 accounts for extra lots. also i like having 2 accounts because my weaponsmith character has 0 combat skills. i used them all for master merchnet, artisan and weaponsmith. there are some extra points left that i use in scout for explore 4. my other account is my fun account because 1i get to play with all the weapons i make and 2 noone knows its me now i am currently tryign to open a force slot with my second account so i dont play the weaponsmith as much anymore. i just have huge factory runs ever couple of weeks and im proud to say yesterday i sold my all time high of 150 itmes in 1 day. so there is a light at the end of the tunnel. there will be alot of competition, and probably some more if they read this post but just keep at it and good things will happen.

Thanks for the replies, and my apologies to the thread for the tangent. I never realised that so many people can two accounts. I'd rather do it through networking. I know it seems strange, but I'd rather pay a few people for lots and resouces, then horde millions of credits. I think that would make a better economy. But from the looks of things, that choice is weeks away for me.

I try to maintain a pricing structure that allows me to sell most of the "common" weapons for 10k or under, usually in the 8-10k range. That being said, I sell between 40-100 weapons a day depending on the day of the week.

I'm a single-account weaponsmith. I rent/buy 14 extra lots from other players who are combat oriented and don't use all their land, and get help from guildmates if something spawns that I really need to harvest. Most of these lots are used for storage houses and factories, and I generally buy most of my resources from low-cost suppliers and friendsrather than harvesting it myself.

Income for me is pretty good, but then again I'm my server's only WS with 12 experimentation points. My daily income jumps around a lot (today was a good day, took in 13mil, spent around 100k), but some days I spend more than I take in. On average, probably works out to around 1mil per day in income, maybe 2-500k spent on weapon-related stuff (mostly krayt tissues and vibro motors and such, sometimes big batches of resources, some shuttle tickets, building upkeep, etc), and then the rest gets spent on my own personal goodies (krayt guns that I keep for myself/guildies, other craft-related loot - especially armor - I'm a big krayt segment fan, skill tapes, etc).

Personally I've found that once you can afford to buy up weapon enhancing loot (mostly krayt tissues, but also vibro motors, nym feeders, and yes even those stupid capacitors), it'sthe mostprofitable way to play this profession. After all, krayt tissues are weapon crafting loot, it should be us weaponsmiths collecting them for our guns You don't see your potential customers fighting you for high oq/con copper so they can get you to make you guns with it do you? If your customer is willing to spend hundreds of thousands of credits to buy an item which he has to deliver to someone else who then has a chance of making a gun which may or may not come out perfectly (or not at all), and may not slice very well, how much will he pay for the finished package with a gauranteed outcome? A fair bit more, trust me, more than enough to cover the costs of poorly experimented ones and failures. Plus, as the weaponsmith constantly buying krayt tissues, you get to meet hunters and suppliers, make friends, get discounts and first crack at good finds, etc. It's a long way down the road if you're new to the profession, but I'm happy with where I've ended up
