Thread: Weaponsmith Overhaul (or pity your sister profession)
As a master Artisan as well as WS I still have the initial runs of Artisan comps sitting on my vendor.. produced in november. People need them, but they sure dont buy em.
Its just a pain in the behind. Regardless of people "Needing" control units etc the manage ways to provide themselves with stocks of them without purchasing them off the market.
Myself? I dropped Medic and trained DE one day and set aside schems and comps for 3000 droid storage units for paint kits, because after a week of searching I found none.
Don't know why your sarcasm wasn't clear to some???? but I am unclear on your frustrations.....How much interdependency are you AS's forced into? I hope you aren't referring to the collection of recources...that's just part of the game.

Thank you all for your feedback.Yes, I am an Armorsmith I glad most everyone saw this post for what it was: sarcasm. I have no problem with some inter-profession dependency, however, this level of dependency is ridiculous and should not be imposed on any profession. Some dependecy yes; the ability to make 3 items (none of which are related to your professions title) without dependecy is way too much.

Renea,
An armorsmith cant make anything to stock on the vendor without using items from Tailor or Master Artisan
of corse a Chef cant make anything that would eversell without a BE either

Yes, AS have it pretty rough. Don't forget about the scouts/rangers that you need to get wooly hides.

Ya, I guess that would suck a bit. We WS's need a few artisan components, but as of now, these aren't needed in any popular weapons. I suppose this is just a way to get tailors a bit more involved...beyond just making fashionable attire....but at the expense of frustrating AS's might not be a great idea.
what in the world is wrong with interdependency? we're a community right?
interdependency let's us act like one.

1. People are stupid with prices in this game.
2. If I am a master weaponsmith, wouldn't stand to reason that I could make all ofthe parts needed to go into the weapon? I think so. It wouldn't make sense to have to go to another profession for a part that goes into makeing a weapon, especiallya professionthat has nothing to do with weapons.
3. Interdependancey is fine to a certian point. In EQ II there is too much, it is very difficult to advance because of it. People get stupid, snotty and down right arrogant if they make what you need and are the only ones offering the stuff. I have to deal with many types of people like this with my REAL job, I want to be able to relax and have fun with this game, not turn it into my job.
