On chilastra the major weaponsmiths are in the process of trying to implement a pricing schedual to get the prices of tissues back under control.

base tissues 50k per tissue

40 max 75k per tissue

50 max 100k per tissue

60 max 125k per tissue

Continuing in this patern for all tissues. With the current prices a weaponsmith can only get his money back out of a weapon if he gets a damage slice. Breaking even with any slice that is 25% damage or less and then making small amounts on the ones from 26% to 30% then with the rare slices of 31% or higher is were the weaponsmith actually makes his money. Which is about 5% of the slices performed.

I don't like the idea of price fixing, but with the way things are on Lowca it would help alot.

Pretty much the least you will pay on Lowca is 100k per tissue and tissues over base will usually be at least 200k each.

I really don't know how anyone buying these tissues makes money, a bad slice is a sure loss and even a great slice will only break even.

Hopefully with mission payouts decreased, crafters will no longer be able to suppliment their income and will have to take a closer look at their profit margins from crafting.

As a smith I'm going to make a profit no matter what, or I simply won't sell the gun. On Eclipse base tissues sell at approximately 100k/per...so for a scatter you're going to pay me 150k, take it or leave it. If the hunters want cheaper guns, then they need to sell the tissues for cheaper, its as simple as that. Same as this 'new' economy, everybody wants their good weapons for cheaper, yet I don't see anyone offering cheap sets of geo cubes, acklay bones or tissues. Not at all! So I tell customers exactly that, and they usually accept it, if not, I send them down the road.

If you truely want to gouge the price on these, the only way to do it is to hunt the stuff yourself, or have friends help for very cheap. I don't see the problem though, these enhanced weapons are not meant for the average Joe taking missions. These are for the rich, the priviledged, and to be used sparingly by them at that. It would seem to me, that cheaper tissues = less over-all profit. Just some thoughts though,

Current on chilastra 5 of the top weaponsmith have stated that they are going to this pricing schedual.
