Has anyone hit the cap on those? I find it hard to believe you can make up 100dps and get such a low action cost.

Speaking as an end-consumer of weapons, I think it's very bad.
I would much rather have all these weapons craftable by weaponsmiths, be it either by standard allocation of the schematics or looted schematics. Not rare schematics, and no schematics that require uber-rare components either.Having equipment as quest rewards will presumably just result in those weapons being priceless and not viable for combat unless you can ADK them. Pretty much in the same way as the Berserker is priceless, too hard to get for what it can do; pretty much in the same way as RIS armor and Mandalorian isn't viable for combat unless you ADK it...
But getting these weapons as quest rewards that I assume that you can only do once... Well, these quest rewards are nothing but wall ornaments in the end, I sure can't afford to buy even a single ADK...

Cybernetics are NPC driven. What they should have been is:
1) limited schematic for DE
2) DE makes cybernetic limb
3) Person takes limb to Bio-Engineer to prep it for installation (make sure that the person's body won't reject it. Sorta like the bio-link for faction armor)
4) Take prepared limb to doctor for installation.
I think its sick that SOE is getting rid of all the positives of SWG.
Rage has 2 horrible things that are setting up things for the future I don't like.
1) Zones (must complete this portion of the planet before going to the next) How is my DE gonna drop a harvester on Kay?
2) Loot-driven economy. Works great for fantasy worlds, but it doesn't FIT in sci-fi... All loot weapons, armor, etc should be schematics

RotW is more content than expansion pack.
3) Pay for content.

I wouldn't say it is a profession killer, but it is definitely another instance of SOE giving the finger to crafters.
People will buy our weapons to hold them over until they can finish the quest and afford an ADK. After that, why use a crafted weapon, when crafted are inferior to loot?
Inferior to Quest rewards, not inferior to loot. The shaft they are giving the crafters are not based on "hours upon hours" of killing & looting mobs, but during quests you can run on your lunchbreak and get a "epic" weapon in no time.
Looting has nothing to do with this, just alot of shafting of the WS/AS community.

Unfortunatly it is deeper than this:
New wepon schematics were to be our Content.... I got the DD for my combat toon (and really like it), and am waiting to buy the instore version for my Weponsmith... but, while I think that ROTW is awsome for fighting toons.... I have yet to see one reason for me to get it with my WS... He can't do any of the quest.. he gets no new schematics, as far as I can see there is no harvesting on Kashhyk (SP?) and I can do the Space mining with my Combat Toon... All I ask is a reason to buy it and I will gladly.....
Imagine getting a group of Fighters together.. you head to they New wookiee cave.. you get to the door... you all get a Quest compleate message.. no loot, no fighting, no going into the cave to see the wonders of inside... off to the next door... The only caves avalible for you to acctually enter and quest in are the Geo/DWB/Corrillian Corvette dungions that were there before.... Now tell me how happy you are.
So we get to buy the expansion and make all of the same wepons we made before the expansion..... WOOOPIEE FREAKING DOO DAA DAY!!!
