1) worthless enhancers
2) no challenge
3) wasted time/effort on FS

I was never a WS. I spent a lot of time on this forum (you can find my previous posts) reading and learning what was needed to make the best possible weapons. Now it is just pointless. No enhancers, no stats on sub components, no need for experimentation bonus points and countless other things you can mention.
The game is no longer based upon a player driven economy, and any statements to the contrary are likely "enhanced."
Sorry to be a downer, but I hate to see good folks (you) waste your time. SOE has already rationalized the loss of subscribers with these changes and I can nearly guarantee that there is nothing anyone can do to change it.
Be well. Thanks WS for all your help through the years.

I agree. I think the fight is already lost. The only thing we can do is cancel our accounts and hope that the upcoming death of SWG will encourage some other more skilled company to make a quality sci-fi themed MMOG to fill the void. Not to tell Summerflame what to do, but if I was to WS coorespondant, or any coorespondant for that matter, I would have resigned already and made a big stink in the process. But hey, that's just me.
The NUMBER 1 Issue is that all of our SUPER EXPENSIVE COMPONENTS are now WORTHLESS and who can count the amout of credits we just choked on when they converted all of that to this new super gay system. OMG. I really hate the DEVs now. They killed a perfectly good game that may have been full of bugs, but is now full of CRAP.
(This space is reserved for a string of cuss words to express my true feelings for this NGE)
Big kudos to summeflame for keeping the cool, using good language and allways staying on topic.
Keep trying to get through to the devs. Hopefully they are just in some "dealing with combat professions only"-mode right now and will soon switch over to us.

Summer,
After getting into TC-Ahazi for some testing, these are my own personal Top 3 issues:
- Quest reward weapons with better statistics than anything craftable
For those who decide to continue as a WS (or new WS) in the post-NGE world, combining high-end reward weapons with the elimination of decay is basically the death-knell for the WS profession. I'm sure someone would argue that "well, a bio-link (BL)is required to equip them, so it can only be used by just a single player", and I agree that is true, but while some do require a BL, many of them do not.It is the ones that do NOT require a BL that willhave the greatest effect on WS and potential business.
My solution to this problem is rather simple, and I think relatively easy to accomplish from the Dev side of things. Make ALLweapons bio-linked,crafted weapons, loot drop weapons, and quest reward weapons. This ensures that these weapons will no longer be tradeable once equipped, and make WS actually useful in the post-NGE universe, as players will have needs for new weapons.
- Weapons with Elemental Damage converted and crafted with equal or near-equal statistics to their non-elemental damage counterparts
I've stated this previously in my TC-Ahazi testing posts, and apologies for repeating it here, but this is also a major concern for me. In the case of weapons with elemental damage, there must be some type of advantage/disadvantage for weapons that carry an elemental damage bonus versus those weapons that have no elemental bonus whatsoever. As I indicated in my testing posts, the Advanced Laser Rifle, T21 Rifle and Jawa Ion Rifle all have the same CL80 requirement, and relatively the same damage output, 130 - 260. The difference in the three is the Jawa also includes an elemental damage bonus. If all three weapons are equal in speed, range and damage, BUT the Jawa also includes an elemental bonus, a smart player would always choose the Jawa as the elemental makes it superior to the other two. Unless this is changed, the ALR and T21 instantly become non-sellers, except for those who choose to use them for "cosmetic" reasons.
Solution: Add a disadvantage to weapons that include an elemental bonus, such as slightly reduced range (perhaps 60 meters instead of 65), or slower re-fire rate than their non-elemental counterparts.
- Uselessness of enhancement materials (krayt tissues, geo cubes, etc.) and other items WITHOUT compensation of some type.
This is a sore issue for many current WS, myself included. It seems as though everyone is being "taken care of" with the NGE, EXCEPT crafters. Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't we paying subscribers too ? Now we are faced with another situation where inventories are made useless, crates of sub-components for crafting are completely eliminated from the game, yet another weapon conversion, the list goes on. Many of us take great pride in the work that we do in-game, and take our dedication to our craft very seriously. The amount of timeand effort we put in to make products available to the community is no less equal in weight to the "grinding-time" a hologrind-jedi put in to attain their status, or post publish-9 jedi either, for that matter. Yet now all of that time and dedication is wasted and I don't see the Dev Team offering up any gifts for US, unless you count millions of credits in useless resources, components and enhancement materials as "our gift". I know this sounds like a rant, and perhaps it is in a way, but it is also a plea for compensation, especially in light of what WS is becoming in a post-NGE world. Haven't we earned it ?
all said above.
1. enhancers (cells, etc)= wasted. Can we at least have our items convert to something useful (like old weapon upgrade kits were convertible after smuggler revamp) such as some hard to find nge weapon schematics, weapon loot, etc.
2.too easy to cap experimentation, so really no difference between good ws, bad ws,best resources, ok resource, long term, short term. Without decaypeople would still buyand pay decently for somethingreally really good. Now we don't even have that. Can they readjust the experimention results so that only 12 point crafters with 1000 oq/cond (or whatever) hit the full damage bar?
3. thanks for continuing to fight for us!
