Of course I would love to be able to craft them too. But just to be fair, I dont see anywhere in that link that they say the weapons are craftable, so saying they lied is not right here.

I think that our biggest problem is game designer's innability to grasp what makes us keep playing this game as crafters.


For me, the reason is (was) the chance of constantly being able to get better, being able to craft weapons that surpassed what others could do, weapons that would give a winning edge to whoever used them.


What I see now is a trend to encourage mediocrity. I am hitting all sorts of caps, all the odds are doctored to discourage me from trying to craft something exceptional.


And to add insult to the injury here comes the slicing system... why bother at all when my best weapons are considered too good and get a negative slice?


While the original designer of this game, Ralph, had a brilliant capitalist mind, able to invent a thrieving player driven economy... whoever is wearing his shoes these days is thinking like a communist.

I'll have to add to this one as I've mucked about with mine/grenade crafting lately. This was afterall the reason I went WS in the first place actually. Well... mines.. really... seem to suck. So far at 90 percetn experimentation across the board best damage I've gotten to date is about 253.... whopty frigging do. I can on the other hand craft a proton grenade that hits for about 1140. Not only that but the one I managed to make as a 10pt. Has a +11 accruacy bonus. a 42m throwing range etc.


I also noticed one rather annoyin issue. Kliknik glands. Which to date still are the only munitions enhancing component i know of. Dont seem to actualy work. More to the point. While they still say they are too enhance a munition. It doesnt let me drop it into the proper slot. Now I know most of you arnt exactly fond of crafting grenades. But I was wondering if there were anymore experienced WS out there that do know about pre-cu crafting nades and post CU-crafting nades/mines that might pitch in here.


For example I'm not too sure what pre-cu mine damage was. So I dont really have anything to compare it to. But this seems.. well pointlessly low to me for something that's 90 percent experimented. comse out about the same for all 3 mines too.

lol... your 8,000,000 posts, emails, PMs, tells, etc have already gotten our attention. it is a known issue and has been reported to the dev team. as stated, this is more of a combat issue than a weaponsmith issue. now, if we couldn't experiment on the line, or if it always came up 0, that would be us.
