Jassi,

I know your pain and I've tried to help fill that market. I have a weapons vendor (on Shadowfire) just North of Moenia, Naboo; it's on the planetary map. I try to keep it stocked with just about every weapon available and pay special attention to those lower end "leveling" weapons. In addition to that, I will stock the bazaar in Coronet with those same lower end weapons on a weekly basis and find them selling out rather quickly. If you need something special, let me know.

Gee I do a good clip on dlt20s. I like to keep my vendor stocked fully though. I carry all the rifles from dlt tusken jawa laser t21. From what I can tell each rifle has distinct advantages and disadvantages. The reason this guy is haveing a hard time. Is that he is looking in the wrong place. You go to coronet and theed. Those are bloat markets. Always packed, and thus a sellers market. He needs to get away from these places. He needs to go to tattooine lok talus. These planets have underused smiths. That gladly carry a wide assortment. Reason you about have to, any customer through your door. Needs to leave with something. So you cannot be selective about what you sell.

Get away from the sellers markets, and go to the buyers markets. Coronet and Theed tack on an additional 5 k atleast for anything. I have customers come to my shop all the time shocked at my prices. I simply have to point out that my costs are not part of the sellers market. Which is the case with these metropolises. Nobody actually harvests for themselves they buy stuff on the streets, and so on. No wonder their costs are so high.

problem is... that ultimately.... the first rifle you actually need to worry about is the laser rifle. and plenty of people sell, make, or can get ya those.

stick with the CDEF. it sucks. but who cares... having a couple more points of damage won't really make a world of difference. Especially if you're new, and especially ...if you're just going through the motions.

i think... the tusken rifle. is at rifles II ...switch to that. those can be found much more commonly than the DL22s or whatever. ...and it's a decent weapon.

it's easy to say.... more master weaponsmiths should make noob weapons. but high level crafting is often times tedious. ...not being focused makes it even more so. ...because if you're not set towards some goal... ie getting materials for a specific weapon..and making a batch of them. you'll just find yourself endlessly messing around.

and besides. no one stays at marksmen very long. there's just no market. go to theed or coronet. if the noob weapon you want isn't for sale there... it's not worth having. or worrying about.

wow.....

8k for a DLT20.......

I frequently populate random Bazaars with basic weapons, D18, DL44, DLT20, DH17 carbine, Two-Handed Axe, and so on.

I generally put them on at 2-3k per weapon, and manage to sell 2-5 a day.

Most of the stuff I see on the Bazaar (on all planets) is minimum stat crap for 6k.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not making 'the best' stuff, and I'm not even gonna try.

But I AM going to use the best damn materials I got, and experiment every weapon I make to maxmimum damage. So I guess I'm making mid-range Stats on low-level items.

And I make a nice income doing it.

But 8k for a DLT20........ damn......

Keep in mind whan I make newbie weapons I'm using the BEST resources. Newbie weapons don't require much less than the advanced stuff, just the requirements are less stringent. If I use CD1000/OQ990 copper, I'm charging at least 8000 for the final gun. My Advanced handlers are 2000 credits each, my rifle barrels are 1500. Add in 1500 for a scope and you're at 8150.

I could use lower-quality materials, but then don't come and tell my "your DLT20 sux n00b"
