4 points does matter
you can throw a min dmg pup in it and it becomes a mitigation baton
but csrs dont give a damn about anything thats going on in this game
so i think your safe
funny thing is..so i hear
if the min dmg is above max and you put a pup in it the dmg actually goes down
it didnt used to do that
i think its the finished product that matters though
and they do need to stop making new features and just fix the damn game so ppl can enjoy it

I won't make a weapon with reversed stats. Only way to be sure.

So a will a weapon with reversed stats always hit for the "min" damage exactly? That could be very useful for getting real stats on damage multipliers, resistances, mitigations, etc....

The problem with these stun batons is that it completely negates dmg mitigation. Mitigation works as a percentage of the max minus the min of a weapon. I don't remember the numbers exactly, but here's an example.

Acklay hammer 100min/500 max dmg.

We'll assume that the targeted player(pvp) has a mitigation value of 25% (again, I don't remember the numbers). We roll and hit for 350 dmg. 500max - 100 min = 400 .25* 400 = 100

so we subtract 350 - 100 = 250 we hit for after mitigation assuming no armor (screw the nerds i don't care about ap2 right now).

now lets assume an acklay stun baton with exactly reversed stats

Acklay baton 500min/100max (i know it isn't going to happen but the math is easy)

again, we roll for 350

100 - 500 = -400

-400 *25 = -100

350 - (-100) = 450

In this case, mitigation (intended to be a defense) actually works against the target. Obviously, this isn't intended.

More info on the acklay bones. The acklay bones with low max/high min were removed for a short time due to their use in stun batons. They were promptly reintroduced because they were intended to be used in power hammers to narrow the dmg range and help them perform better against dmg mitigation.

Ive just got an answer on a ticket about stuff with reversed stats and the CSR told me that ALL components with reversed stats need CSR attention (he also said theyd spoken to the edv-team and hope for a solution soon) Im tired of arguing with peole over this issue. Im tired of costumers getting annoy ed because I tell them that they need have their loot components reversed, but most of all im tired of people weaponsmiths and costumers alike trying to justify the use of bugged components. These things are not meant to be this way and the weapons created gives an unfair advantage to those using them.

I really hope this issue is resolved soon cause it bothers me a lot!

Edit: hmmm quoted the wrong post sry, hope you get my point anyway
