it will HAVE to be fixed, the devs have no option but to fix it. Because there are to many Caped weapons in the market that were made before this bug. Now with the bug weapons can never be made as good as they were pre-pub24 bug. So along with ADK this is the death sentance to WS..

the devs have no other choice to fix this, or else let the prof die out.

I sure hope that it is a bug and not intended. If it is not a bug then us crafters now have to compete against ADKed versions of our old products which we can not ever hope to match again. That would be a pretty devastating blow.

If this is working as intended I'm going to cry... then say a lot of bad words... then cry some more. You don't want that do you?


The best Iron on Bloodfin has 487 CD with 992 OQ, and then for steel lets see what we have to choose from: 999 OQ 624 CD, 895 OQ 810 CD or... 798 OQ and951 CD. Basically we don't have anything special on Bloodfin when it comes to steel and iron. As you can tellwe really need those resource caps.


If this turns out to be "working as intended" as least spawn some 900+ OQ and CD steel and Iron please.


Oh and just to illustrate how badly we would be affected if this were to be "working as intended" I decided to do a little crafting:


Previously I used Duroutigi (999 OQ and 624 CD) and Ifooiam (932 CD and 988 OQ) for making DL44 XTs. On assembly I was at 29% and was able to experiment up to 99%. After Pub 24, on initial assembly I was at 22% with the highest I could experiment being 82%. As a result the damage was 30 points lower than it would normally be on that pistol.


Using the "new" server best steel for making ranged weapons Aboisvire (798 OQ and 951 CD) the best I could achieve on assembly was 24%, with a max damage of 767 after experimenting to 86%. Compar that to the Pre-24 pistols I madewhich had a max of 787.


If this turns out to be working as intended theres going to be a lot of angry WS, including me.

I'm sorry but isn't there some sort of "plan" to developing a game?


If something that is a major change happens, shouldn't it be either.....



  1. On the plan = Working as intended

  2. Not on the plan = A bug

Its been 4 days and the best we hear is, "Its being investigated".

OK guys just STOP. Geez the amountof ill-conceived whining and frank ingratitude for the response/follow-up in the first place astounds me!! We're here reporting a bug and asking they look into it. The Director of Customer Relations comes into our forums and tells us they are looking into it... and the best response that some of us can think to come up with is "Bleh, that's not GOOD enough, this doesn't take that long, we want it yesterday, you're just being lazy, *assorted whining*, etc etc..." Damn if I were a Dev I wouldn't post in here either... looks what it gets them!


Try to consider forjust a moment that Weaponsmiths MIGHT NOT be the ONLY profession in the game... mind-boggling I know. But even more absurd... that we may NOT be the only one's with bugs or issues right now. (This is getting even MORE ridiculous.) In fact... even more unnerving... there may in fact be HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of players/communities in this game... all of which have their own sets of bugs and issues they are likely reporting... and each of these issues must be investigated in turn.


Not only that... but you never know when we might be on the verge of a MAJOR game update and who knows... they MIGHT be a bit busy right now. There is also the most remote possibility that NONE of us have the slightest clue what needs to be done of the back-end of a game this size to investigate and/or correct this problem.


Listen guys.. I'm obviously WS too... and I don't like this "bug" anymore than you do. I would love it to be resolved tomorrow. BUT... i am not about to berate the ONLY helping hand we have on the Dev team and start telling them it's not good enough... not least of all because I know I haven't the slightest idea what needs to happen nor how they'll fix it. We just need to relax and take a collective pill... please.
