Do you guys craft just uber guns....or do you craft a ton of okay/decent guns? I can get the nice stats on scatters/fwg5s stuff like that but the tissues that I need to make them are few and far between.

I just do loot made stuff. I don't have the time to stock regular weapons.

I have all but stopped making loot enhanced guns for sale as the loot costs more than people are willing to pay for the gun. If I get a custom request, they bring the loot, or I can provode some of my stock, but it's been pretty well picked over.

I'd concentrate on what you can match server-best-wise and make those until you can make another class of weapons, and slowly grow as the resources allow. Right now I am doing pretty OK selling weapons to grinders (I assume they're grinders, since they seem to buy a gun for each combat level). It's not a way to get rich, but it gets your name out there and you'd be surprised how many referrals you get.

If you want to get into the high-end stuff, it'd be a good idea to set up a situation where a friend or guildie can provide you with the loot at a reasonable cost, or hunt it yourself....keeps the profit margin up.

At least on Flurry that is the case, at times enhancements sell for more than the guns/melle are worth themselves.

Where's the fun in that tho

AS a WS, I havent been making a "killing" but just a fair amount. I have 3 locations. I put 2 of them outside major through ports, corellia Cnet and Dantooine Mining Outpost. My third is in my player city on rori, but I rarely get traffic there. A lot of my business is comming from word of mouth of guildies and the fact I "sport" my Master WS tag. I also do a lot of AFK advertising in the major cities. I travel to all the highly used cities and spam my goods. My business is not enough to support the profession yet, so I make up for it by selling high end resources on the bazaar.

Having just started as a MWS 4 weeks ago I began selling grinding melee weapons on the bazaars for 10-20k each...that's my meat and potatoes, earning 100-300k/week. Of course that doesn't include the expense of the daily shopping trips for materials and such so the profit margin is still slim.

So far none of the "uber" weapons I have crafted using looted components have sold. Perhaps they are not as uber as they can/should be and/or are priced to much.

I have tried to compare stats and prices to some of the more well known WS on the server and of course being unknown and not exactly the same quality as the old timers I charge considerably less.

Location shouldn't be an issue (1000m from the starport everyoneon the server is at nowdays) and I am map advertised.

Part of the problem may be that I don't have a very large selection yet and have to find the niche of weapons I am good at crafting. Just this week I started crafting high end pistols and now grind level Adv laser rifles.

Yah that is most likely true and very funny...I have seen WS' on my server offer 1-3 million for these new casings and such...who pays 2-4 million for a crafted weapon nowdays when all the quested/ADK'ed ones are fast replacing anything I see.

Personally I use two quested items, sliced to hilt and ADK'ed on my combat toon...I use looted or homemade grind weapons that do the decent damage (not enough to draw aggro) in xp grind groups...

Well...I have a master bh also. I've had a lot of fun with it but its just got old for me.

I have pretty much the best resourses for weaponsmith so I thought I might as well give it a shot..again.lol I was a weaponsmith pre cu and made a decent amount of cash doing it but whne the respecs came I canged over to BH. I have been able to make better Power hammer/scatters/fwg5s than MOST (not all) on the server.

scatter stats with 110 tissue was 918 max 81 SAC with over 310 DPS and I was trying to sell if for 500k and its ben sitting on my vendor for over a week now.lol I think everybody does what you guys are talking about and uses loot weapons now

high end weapons sales are all about reputation

i made a killing as a WS because i was well known - yes my resources were good (but wernt the very best) - but the maiin reason my weapons sold for 3-4 mill a shot everyday was that i had got my name out there byy posting on the forum trade boards - and doing customs - happy customers tell thier friends.. also i found that giving away weapons was a good tactic - i gave away many excellent weapons to people that couldnt afford them on the proviso they recomended me to thier guild /friends. Very good way to get known
