Thread: need a list for powerhammer

im not a weapon smith but i know there are some great smiths amongst you all please help me if getting a list together for an ultimate powerhammer with max damage1096 and sac at 83. ive read the swordman profession pages and believe those are the caps unsliced, i will deal with the speed issue via clothing and armor attachments, also if your from the shadowfire server look me up maybe we can make this thing together, also i know i might need rare ackley or gorax bones or something, whatever it is can i get a complete breakdown that a 12pt WS would need to craft the best powerhammer possible and your thoughts on cost.

Just a quick note. The crafting caps are higher than the slicing caps. So if you want to slice you capped hammer afterwards, you're in for a dissappointment.

so can you tell me what is the best if i want the highest damage, cause ive heard the max damage is 1184 and at 1096 with a 8%damage slice i can get that cap, whats the alternative?

I thought that the crafting cap was actually lower than the slicing cap for the power hammer..


I thought the power hammer had a 1184 crafting cap and a 1230 slicing cap..

All you need to hit those numbers is


80-100damage Geo Solidifying Agents


and around


-20 SAC Geo Red Cubes

It looks like I gave you wrong info earlier. There is no confirmed slicing cap for powerhammers (at least not in the smuggler forum. If anyone knows it, post it here). So it looks like you should be able to reach, using the plan you've scetched out here.

you say 80-100 damage geo solidfyers and -20 sac geo red cubes? those exist? i crafted a ph without any solifying and -6 red cubes came out as 400-923 damage and 82 sace and 2.8 speed not what i was hoping for.


should i spend some time in geos or are you joking about them with stats like that?

To my knowledge, the best red Geo cubes that anyone has reported were -14 SAC. And I'm told that the best post-CU Solidifying Agents you can get are +25 Max Damage. So there's probably no way to double-cap a Power Hammer at present.


Using -11 SAC Red Geo Cubes, +17 Max Damage Sol. Agents, extremely good resources (as a 12pt Weaponsmith) and getting a 5pt Amazing in the SAC line and a 7pt Amazing in damage I was able to make a Power Hammer with a SAC of 84, damage of 470-1000 and a speed of 2.81. With -13 or -14 SAC Geo Cubes it would have been possible to SAC cap it and with +25 Max Damage Sol Agents I could push the max damage up another 8pts. But I can't find any way to get the kind of #'s you want. Using Acklay bones you can get the damage that high. But the SAC will be obscene. I'd like to see Acklay bones be usable in place of the Solidifying Agents as opposed to replacing the component entirely. Then Power Hammers might begin to compare to Rifles and other high-damage weapons.


Incidentally, I asked for a price check in my galaxy's forums and received an offer for 1.5 million. If I ran an auction I could have probablyfound a buyer at 2 million. Maybe. I ended up keeping it since I needed a better Power Hammer myself. And I've sold several 1000-ish max damage Power Hammers with SACs of 83 (damage was 960 or so, I believe) to 95 for 250k-750k as quickly as I could have wanted. I don't know how your server compares to Valcyn on, but that's the best I can offer in regards to your question on pricing.

I think it would take around a 250ish max damage acklay bone to even approach the damage cap. Of course this will leave the SAC astronomically high.

+28? Very nice (well, comparatively speaking)! I looted some -13 Red Cubes the other day (a nice stack of 8), but I only have a few +17's left and a large stack of 12's. I'm waiting until I get some more decent damage agents before I try to make another Power Hammer. But now that I know (well, believe) that +30 is possible will make me put it off until I can get something above 20.
