Thread: Do you make Rocket Launchers?

Well, by request I started looking into making my first set of rocket launchers only to find that they seem to be the most resource intensive weapon I have seen so far. I was just wondering from those of you who make them, how much do you tend to charge for them? I know prices will vary per server, but I dont see many who make them on my server, and with the amount of resources and work that goes into them I can see why.I also was not very appealed by idea of sticking so many of my good resources into them... I guess I will see how they come out, but just curious as to what you guys do with them.

**also dont suposse i could get a quick synapsis of what the whole publish 7 fuss is about. As a newer MWS, Im afraid to find out.**

thanks!

I make them. I charge between 25k - 35k depending on how many they want to buy

A Crate of 7 I will sell for 125k.

A lot of people rag on my for selling them so cheap, well I don't really care. I'm still making a profit at 25k, and I feel for commandos because i have an Alt who is a master commando, and it sucks with these limited use weapons. I am going to supply an entire PA with Rocket Launchers, they have an order for 100-150 of them (how ever many I can make). I will be charging 22.5k each.

Just in case you were using advanced components for everything - I'd not use any advanced components making RLs. The payoff is totally insiginificant - when you're talking about an extra 30-40 damage on a weapon that does over 3,000. That will save you materials and allow you to keep prices lowerish.

Though of late I've been testing stuff out with my commando secondary - I'm considering using advanced scopes tooled all the way for accuracy, I'd rather have a bit more HAM cost than miss with a rocket, specially given the limited use. My advanced scopes come out to +42 to hit so hopefully that will help considerably.

They are a lot of fun to fire though!

I use Adv scopes and Adv BPH for mine. It's true that Adv BPH or Adv PFM wont make any significant difference on the final weapon, but the xtra speed is great for improving the quality of the weapon in the customers eyes. So I do it for show purposes only.

I sell for them for 39k each but will probably bump that to 42 or 45 as I think my charges will soon be boosted up to 36. I guess it all depends on how the chips fall with the pending crafting changes. I may lose those extra charges I worked so hard for soon as publish 7 hits.

Hrm, unless you have really topsy turvey resources, regular power handlers usually come out faster than advanced ones no?

hehe Gettin closer and closer to unity on Ahazi

my advanced are coming out -.4 nowadays and I'm pretty sure Soar's are better

my normals are around -.48 IIRC.

Then again specific resources vs cheap metals ... hmm I think i'm with Kershakk on the Power Handlers

Now I do like to use Adv Scopes on mine. Experiment on Range all the way, makes em a bit more accessible for non Master commandos

I sell mine for 50K each because that's how much they piss me off.

It is a high price, but god oh god do I not want to have to make any again for a good long while. I promise all my other weapon prices are much more respectable.

Sell mine for 110-120k rather regularly, other charged weapons around 40k. And when i do make them, i go all out with advanced parts. I did use non-advanced before, but i wanted every point of damage for my commandos in guild. (guild gets half the run for free) But i do make a full run of 1000 grenades, losing 1 stack of nades of course for the rocket launcher schematic...

But a 35 charger is rather nice, and being it takes me far longer to produce these than any other weapon, T-21s coming in 2nd of course, too many damn powerhandlers... I feel charging a premium for them so everyone and their mother doesnt have one, is acceptable. Last i checked, i was one of the few smiths that made them on a regular basis anyways...

Really? I just did a test out last night and there was only the negligible differences between advanced and regular damage adding component using RLs. Using regular components I got around 3750 damage, advanceds around 3800.

Resources though make a huge difference. A single percentile base build lower can result in a couple hundred in damage.

Yah I'm pretty sure the difference is not much at all, must be something wierd going on there Itchy

My new batch came out at 3940 max with 33 charges, oh lordy I really want to break that 4k mark, it is my rocket launcher Everest. When are these resource gods going to give Ahazi some better iron/steel, we've been on the same stuff for eons, and they are both still more than 100 points below the caps.
