With the CU right around the corner....is there any feel to the risk of making uber weapons at this point? I'd hate to spend lots of money on a weapon (Or for my customers to) that will be obsolete after the C.U.R.B. I'm looking to get a DE-10 barrel so that I can make myself a nice pistol, but what's to happen to weapons once the C.U.R.B. hits? Any hints on how pre-CU weapons will fair after the CU?
Any advice from our correspondent?
Read post below for the official answer!

Pre-CU weapons are supposed to be adjusted to post-CU stats during the CU. So if you make a DE-10 now, when the dust settles after the CU it should be the same as if you made it with the same stuff after the CU. At least, that's how I understand the CU, Felton can correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, everything will be proportionally adjusted. And the DE-10 will change along with the rest, but not much.

It says that current weapons will be adjusted, WHEREVER POSSIBLE.
Imho i feel that this will not include all the things we are saving to sell later
But thats cos im a pesemistic b**tard that believes in Sods law.

If I knew, I'd tell you. As is, I haven't the first flipping clue. =(
For my part, though, I'm holding off on making enhanced weapons until after the CU hits. That may be the right decision, or it may be the wrong one. I have absolutely no clue. But that's what I'm going to do, because I want to be able to compare baseline CU weapons with enhanced CU weapons rather than try and figure out whatever wonky conversion formula SOE comes up with.
EDITED for clarity.

It'd be nice to know a lil more about this if you do hear anything.
Whats to say that the PRE-"upgrade" weaponsdont get changed at all. Much like the Scatter pistols and FWG5's from way back in the days. I know that there is "word" of them being adjusted but there was also "word" that they were doing a LOT of things

The nerf on the scaters and the FWG5's is a dieferent type of deal, back then they changed the schems for them now the whole combat system will change. From what i gathered so far changes are to great to have legasy wepons around as the new combat system is nothing likw what we have now.

The following was posted by the pistoleer correspondent in the pistoleer forum. Although he may not be an authority on the subjet, I sure hope he's right.
yes, there will be a conversion.
Great stuff will remain great, good stuff remain good etc etc...but any unbalancing weapons like thsoe 5000 damage power hammers will probably be scaled down farther than their owners would like.

Do both ... I've been using some krayt tissues but sitting on a lot. I have kept a few yellows and geo agents ... but have used a lot also. Keep making credits because when the CU hits one thing is for, credits will remain credits.
