It just pisses me off to see people trying to flame people who have already read the stickly's.

I was a smuggler for 5 months, i quit that when i woke up in the middle of the night screaming : for fu*ks sake its random. I have nothing against telling people who havent read the stickys or tried whats suggested there to read them, but people who read them, try the options they have and then post should not get flamed

I don't care about his link because I'm not on Bria and it has nothing to do with me.

Even if I was on Bria, I would not offer any help to his request here, it will only serve to encourage more inconsiderate behaviour.

The sticky is there for a reason, I usually don't bother with these posts because it is a waste of time, but when you insist on bumping over and over when it has been made clear that you will find no help...

Ybagi's dead on. This is the Weaponsmith professions forum, not a trade forum. The sticky doesn't say "This isn't a trade forum...unless you have no luck in your server's trade forum". This isn't a trade forum period,whether or not you are having a hard time finding help on your trade forum.

I get tired of bums who come here to whore their goods or making demands, then get pissed at us when we don't drop everything and cater to them immediately. "Wah, wah, I can't find any grenades. Drop everything and help me now." Get lost.

I have some crates on my advertised specials vendor.

I'm sorry, but that's just not a reasonable defense.

If I were to put an ad in the classifieds that I wanted to sell my car, and it didn't sell, I'd relist the ad until it did sell. Clearly nobody that read my ad was willing and able to pay the price i was asking. Ok...so be it. But I certainly wouldn't march up to coporate headquarters, stand outside, and start shouting to anyone who would listen that I have a car to sell. It's not the appropriate forum for such things, and quite frankly, the slim chance that anyone at corporate would happen to be looking to buy a car in Boston (which is of course, where they'd have to go to get any use out of it) doesn't justify wasting everyone else's time.

And before you say that it's just a few people who don't want trade messages here, and that some people really do want to see what you're selling, keep in mind that among them is SOE, who like it or no, gets to moderate these forums. Here's how you can tell:

1. If you look right under the link to this forum, it says, "The purpose of this board is forany discussionabout the weaponsmith profession." I'm sorry, but your trade posts don't qualify.

2. There's a nice big sticky right at the top of this forum (in case you had missed the board definition) that points out that "This is not a Trade Forum."

3. Any time a trade post is reported, it eventually gets locked or deleted as soon as a mod has the opportunity.

Simply put, trade messages in the Weaponsmith forum, are just flat out against the rules. Not only that, but the response to these sort of posts is clearly negative, showing that popular sentiment really doesn't want them here.

I don't really think anyone's trying to be mean about this, but this forum is really the only place we have to discuss issues of importance to our profession. We're just trying to keep the signal to noise ratio reasonable. I don't think it's too much to ask that people refrain from filling our discussion area with posts that are out of place, off topic, generally irrelevant, unwanted, and against the rules of the forum itself.

/shrug....but that's just me.

Oh for christ's sake , you complain about me bumping the thread when half of the people are just posting senseless flames.

For one I am looking for a vendor , If you aren't on bria then don't post,because obviously I have no business with you , and if I was on your server I wouldn't deal with a weaponsmith that wants to act childish.Someone should be able to post to find a wp to a vendor,that is not at all trading,and I posted the link hoping a weaponsmith vendor on bria would be here and able to help out.

If you are looking to flame and 1-star my post go elsewhere.If you have nothing to offer other than positive help go away.The forum is supposed to be about positive help not negative.
