Thread: inventory room ( I need more )
I have been a master weaponsmith for the last 6 months or so, and with about 200 different resources types. For storage I've got a medium house, a small house, 3 factories and the bank. Its all filled to the rim (yes im a packrat, but isnt all ws'es?) im beginning to be very annoyed about this problem, my medium house looks rather empty I think with 8 packs of resources and the crafting stations, I got next to no room for any kind of ormament or furniture...
/sad awww why is the item cap so low for houses
how do you fellow smiths deal with this ?
One large house, mostly filled with resources (though I did set up a nice armory in one room), one small house filled with WS components (both crafted and looted), one small house with my 100K resource stacks (rapidly filling up) and my bank deposit box filled with looted schematics, components, nice krayt tissues and a few other momentos. I don't use factories for storage, I'm afraid they might be too buggy for that.

Aye this is a real problem for me.
I have 1 large house, 3 mediums, 9 factories etc etc and I have nowhere to put anything.
I have resorted to using guild members houses to store stuff
Wish they would double storage in houses for master artisans or something

Don't forget droids. Get 5 droids with item storage (max 10 each) will give you another 50 slots.
Every little helps and you have the stuff with you at all times.
Can also get data storage on a droid (max 150 I think) which helps keep your datapad tidy.

This is how i've delt with this problem so far:
1) I did a lot exchange with someone on another server, and got 10 extra lots that way. On these lots i planted 10 factories
2) Whenever i create power handlers, etc, i do them in large runs (1000 normaly), and leave those in the output hopper.. use /notepad to keep track of what you have where :-)
3) Same for weapon runs, i leave most of it in the output hoppers, only get crates as i need to restock
4) The weapon crates that i do pickup, i leave in my merchant tent.. 75 space there so why not use it
4) Then i placed 3 small houses.. they have the same storage space as medium ones, but only use one lot (so @ this point im using 4 of my ten lots, the other 6 are reserved for harvesters), 1 is used for crafting and holds all the resources, the other 2 hold loot items, etc..
Add the bank storage to this, and you get a long way to being able to hold everything you need to..
And when the person you did a lot trade decides to delete their character, or SOE decides to delete characters from inactive accounts?
It shouldn' t come down to this... Way too comlicated and risky.
Simple solution... allow people to increase the storage in their homes, for an increased maintenance fee. Would make a lot of people happy, AND get a little bit more money out of the system.

A work-around for this problem : placeone vendor, put everything you want to stockon sale, withdraw the sale and leave the stuff in the stockroom untill you need it.
No, it's not fair, no, it's not elegant, no, it's notfair. But it's the only way to solve the problem, IMHO.

Things tend to disappear from stockrooms after 7 days. I wouldn' t trust leaving anything in a stockroom.

Number one best thing is to be frugal about what you keep. You have alot of resource then you get another resource that is better. Then you use up or sell your old resource on your vendor or the bizarre. Maybe the point is that nobody should have fifteen hundred resources and components. I am sure at this point its becomeing a full time task to keep track of it all.
Note it is best to use mediums. They have the most storage for the minimum amount of lots. A large takes two lots at 250 storage a medium takes 1 lot at 150 do the math. Two mediums will get you 300 while a large gets you 250.
