Hello,
I am a resource provider on Bria... some would say i am THE resource provider on Bria. I host the site www.nickschale.us/hound (clicky in sig).
If you could take a quick second to look what i have done on the minerals tab in introducing the formula for architects. This was a test to see how it would look. It is really the only formula I am 100% certain on and am pleased with the results.
I would like to do the same for all the professions. Though I cannot list formulas for ever (would like to have the chart fit on a 1028x768 screen) I would like to have at least a couple formulas from the key professions.
So what i ask for your 'votes' (for lack of a better word) I would like to see your two TOP formulas. What would be helpful to see in a chart like mine. To use the arch formula as an example, here is what a post would read:
"Hound - This formula is a must for Archs. HR+SR+UT+UT... and it has to be equal or greater than 3600! It is used on d$mn near all structure creations. [then insert a second choice] [then maybe any comments]"
Clear as mud
?
It is my goal to continue to growby helping my customers more every day

Depends on what we are making. Melee weapons, melee components, ranged weapons, ranged components, munitions, and munition components all take different combinations. The only things that are really 100% is CD+OQ for finished ranged weapons and SR finished for melee weapons. Everything else can very from item to item.

The main one for weaponsmith would be CD and OQ.
There are many other combinations but It wouldn't be as useful to list them all.

Nick, I'm a WS on Bria and have often looked at ur website but if u implement some of these formulas ... it'd really help WSs out
It really depends on what we are making. U'll needdifferent formulas
For Ranged Weapons and components:
50% (CD + OQ)
66% CD + 33% OQ
50% (HR + SR)
For Grenadesand components:
50% (OQ + SR)
50% (CD +UT)
50% (DR + UT)
For melee weapons and components:
100% SR
100% UT
Now, most WS are very picky about their resources. It's usually, the best or nothing if u're a 12-point WS. I would suggest that u find out the stat cap for the resources and compare them.
The reources u should be looking for stuff like:
Doonium, Plumbum, Polonium Irons
Mythra, Polystell, Platinite Coopers
Phrik and Link-Steel Alums
Polymers
Low-Grade and Carbonate Ores
Gases
... we use quite a range
I'd be more than interested in helping u out ... since that'd help me out too
Send an e-mail to khyronn (my WS alt) and lets see what we can cook up

Awesome post, and this is what im looking for.
I would not really put a formula for melee weapons and components... well because there is no formula BUT THATS OK! I need to know these things and that is why i have every 900 and higher highlighted.
I have a feeling that the ranged weapons/components would be used more than the grenades yes?
So i would probably list those three formulas... but if i could only fit one which one would you lke to see? probably the 66/33 CD/oq one cuz it is the trickier of the three....
50% (CD + OQ)
66% CD + 33% OQ
50% (HR + SR)

Not really, given the fact that 90% of sales are grenadespeople love them for grinding XP

50% (CD + OQ) <--- That One
66% CD + 33% OQ
50% (HR + SR)

Also when you're looking for resources for Weaponsmith, remember the steels. We use alot of steels. Like duranium, duralloy, carbonate and ditanium (bout the four most common of the steels). And also, watch out for Desh coppers with UT close to the maximum. Weaponsmith's will pay out the nose for a better desh.

Too bad there isn't a way you could let theperson choose like the SWGcraft website which ones are best by filtering the best combo to the top of the list. Or a way to choose the combo for Oq/Cond or Cond/sr and put in a %. But OQ/Cond is just as good for quick glance through.

Fooman's SWGWS Tool
http://www.swgcraft.com/tools.php
This is an excellent Excel spreadsheet that is very helpful in the selection of resources to use in weapons crafting. It can also help you manage your resources, as well as help you decide what to harvest (using the current resources from SWGCraft.com).

If anything......Try copying the Macro's from Fooman's Tool to read off SWGcraft.com for your site.
