I had read that visible stocks and scopes were only visible to the person holding the weapon. I made up a laser rifle with a visible scope and stockfor a friend of mine and when he equipped the weapon, I could see the scope and stock on it. Did this change with a recent publish?

I am selling more weapons with visible scopes and stock lately and I wonder if this is the reason why.

Does it still work after a re-log tho?..ive given similar weapons to vendors for cosmetic purposes and when ive logged in the next day the attachements are gone again

Yah, once you relog or are away for any real periodof time, you'll fail to see the components. Try asking someone else who is there if they can see the components, bet they won't be able to. The reason you could see them was because it was in your inventory prior to your giving it to them.

I think you are able to see the scopes/stocks because you crafted the weapon and viewed it in your inventory.

When you relog you probably wont be able to see it.

Just made a DL44 with scope and barrel, gave it to someone and it worked indeed!

Could see both components.

IIn order for a scope or barrel to be visible it must be hand crafted...if it comes out of a crate it likely wont be visible.

I'll have to ask a few old customers about this, but I was quite certain that once u hand craft them, that is remove the componants from the factory crates before you use them, that the visible bonus's stuck. I sell many weapons this way out of my vendor, and have many return customers simply because they are thrilled once they see the weapon in their hands. The visuals are not noticeable in the merchant viewing screens, but it's sure a nice surprise for them once they take it out and review it.

Handcrafted components ARE visible to the person that equips the weapon(or visible to all if mounted on a wall etc).What seems to happen is that these are also visible to the crafter after a trade has taken place and the weapon is equipped by the customer.BUT after a relog or break in game play they revert toonly visible to the person who equips the weapon.

Heh, well that really sucks. I guess beauty is truely in the eyes of the beholder in this case.
