where do you get the scythe schematic??? I've been told in mos entha, but whats the npcs name? thx

Hi I just had a question about the scythe schematic. I was told to talk to Hedon Istee outside of the Mos Entha starport and there he is, but the bastid refuses to talk to me. Any idea how I can get to talk to him? Thanks.

He won't talk to you unless you have expert sword finesse, which is where you get the scythe schematic. This quest is limited to those who are actually able to use the weapon.

not true,
i did this quest as a tkm. from what i have read on the topic before you simply have to be tough enough in any given profession for him to think you are up to the job.

make sure you equip your highest skilled weapon, even if its crappier than the one you hunt with, I had to hold my stun baton, even though my gaffi stick is 10 times better.

So if you have the correct skills you should equip a NS Lance/DXR6b, etc.?

yeah i think so, it worked for me, i'm only 0301 fencer. my highest weapon cert was stun baton, no other weapon worked for me.
Btw take a pet to get the aggro while you loot the box

could I do this as a 0/0/1/0 carbineer, and a 1/4/1/4 CH with some basic med skills???

Maybe if you hold your best weapon and are grouped with your best pet. The quest is easy, just about anyone could do it.

they must hate pikeman then, cause my alt was a pikeman and he was at 2/2/4/3 and i couldnt do it on valcyn, but my buddy who was a master fencer could. and i tried to equip every weapon that i could. my alt changed to TKA and i could it right away.....guess they really hate hte pikemen

Will trade a Scythe Schematic for 1) decent Power Hammer unsliced and 1) decent Scythe Unsliced.
