this thing is the new fwg5. 60-195 2.4 light AP energy damage.

cert is screwy and some people don't have it listed at all. it's not listed in any skill boxes under marksman or pistoleer, and i have it with absolutely no pistol skills.

there's going to be massive demand for these, because it's the first non-BH armor piercing pistol that isn't a pile of crap.

I have no pistol skills and I have the cert. My guess is that it may be due to faction association.

Can't wait to make myself one and go play with it.

I have the cert and two republic blasters, and I get the message.

I have novice pistoleer too.

I am a covert reb. I dont get the message and it outdamages my prenerf FWG5

Maybe it does have to do with faction alignment then. Wow! That'd be the first case of faction-oriented equipmentactually being BETTER for the Rebellion than for the Empire!! Hot **edit**!

WRONG! I am a covert reb, I am a MASTER PISTOLEER, I have the cert, I have TWO of these weapons and I STILL Get the message .. Its still not tied to a cert box either.

i used it, it worked. there was no message and i did full damage in a duel.

i am covert imperial human,and i have only the rifles line from marksman.

do you guys have prepatch RB's?

I made a new one. I'll try to test it with guildmates tonight to see if there's any method behind who gets the cert and who doesn't, but we're getting 10-20 second lag so I don't know if anything's actually going to get done.
