Bazaar/Vendor

  • Vendors that are empty will no longer be visible on the planetary map (Ctrl-V).

  • Vendors that have been left empty or abandoned for two weeks will be deleted (owner will receive a warning message prior to deletion).

  • Email notifications have been added to advise vendor owners of the status of their vendor.

  • Fixed a bug that caused items to sometimes vanish from vendors.

  • Vendor item limits will now be based on player skill. (Players over either limit will not be able to add new items for sale on vendors).

Artisan Business 3 Get (1) Vendor, that will hold (50) items, for a total of (50) items for all vendors

Merchant Novice Get (2) Vendors, that will hold (60) items, for a total of (120) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 1 Get (3) Vendors, that will hold (70) items, for a total of (210) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 2 Get (4) Vendors, that will hold (80) items, for a total of (320) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 3 Get (5) Vendors, that will hold (90) items, for a total of (450) items for all vendors

Merchant Management 4 Get (6) Vendors, that will hold (100) items, for a total of (600) items for all vendors

Merchant Master Get (6) Vendors, that will hold (110) items, for a total of (660) items for all vendors

  • This is crap. It forces you to master merchant, and even then its not enough. My vendor never goes under 1000 items and I HAVE to have smuggler in my template to slice my stuff. I'm not a firm believer in petitions but this is stupid.

sounds very good, just the item limits should be higher for about three times or around it.

Yes, I *do* use my vendor for storage.

Ignoring storage, I have over 700 weapons on *one* vendor.

I also sell resources, furniture and 'stuff' on that same vendor.

    I have *2* vendors.

This will lead to the death of any variety of offered weapons, also all vendors will be empty in a few hours after filling them. This is a ridiculous change. If this ever makes it to live, I will cancel my account.

well, everything sounds great but the item limit. that is just **edit**ing retarded. i dont think it will make it live though. this would basically ruin the big crafters on every server if they can only have certain amounts of items on a vendor

So they think limiting the number of items on a vendor is going to get rid of empty vendors? How are we supose to "stock up" if we aren't going to be able to play for a few weeks. I guess it sucks if you dressed your vendor with any expensive clothes.

I don't use em for storage, don't trust that.

But, I have 4 melee weaponvendors with 400-500 items EACH and my powerup vendor has 2000 crates of powerups and repair tools on it.

If I can't do it like this that would mean I would have to restock twice a day or so

I too used my house vendor for storing crates and loot (in all honesty what other options were open to us in the wake of SOE's indifference to our cries for extra storage space for elite crafters?) but I kept Nov merchant just so I felt like I wasn't exploiting the merchant bug.

I'm gonna post what I posted in the other thread on this:

But where are thecommon sense approaches?Ideas like loading a crate of items onto the vendor and allowing buyers to choose the amount they wish to buy, which are then pulled from the crates. This would save the time of pulling singles out to sell, having to individually relist and most importantly (from the dev's side of things) save on their godamn precious database space.

Were such a crate system implemented we could perhaps deal with an item limit of this low figure I mean a few crates of the most popular sellers, a selection of individual loot weapons, and some space left over maybe. But no, ideas like this take away the insidious timesinks that SOE seem to adore. They also probably take a lot of effort to code whereas a nerf (lets call it what it is) like this can be recoded in an afternoon.

Where are the well thought out fixes like this instead of game breakers like what we have on TC??

    It beggars belief.
