Thread: No colors in weapons names, please
Bought a gun recently where the crafter had used the \#rrggbb\ trickto give it a colored name. Problem is, the name color doesn't change when I drop in a powerup. It's impossible to see if the powerup is active without doing /exam or seeing the 'Powerup expired' message, which can scroll by pretty quickly in a fight.
So, no colored names, please!
The other problem is just that often times the name isn't what you'd want it to be.
I'd like to see the ability to rename any crafted object in your inventory, just like you can a backpack.
I think there should be a way to rename already crafted items, butI think that only the person who created it should be able to do it
I make a point to only colour my 'tag' on a weapon.
E.G - 'Jawa ion rifle by Novacorp'
That way , i still get the weapon to stand out on the Bazaar , The maker name still stands out , and players still get to see when the weapon is powered up.
How do you change the color of the item name? I thought it was /#??????/ where the ? is the Hex color code but I've been unable to get this to work. Can someone please elaborate?
Thanks!
Maya
They shouldadda little overlay number on the weapon's icon that tellshow many uses the powerup has left. Then colored names wouldn't matter
Somekind of bar that could show the uses left of powerup would be really helpfull.
Taken out so long ago, and it still p!sses me off. Hey look Devs, something fun over here!
Yet another great idea that 99% of the player base really enjoyed, something that added flavour and depth to crafting systems, taken out because a small minority of players, the other 1%, fail to pay attention, or thought it gave players with enough nouce to figure out how to colour their items an edge over the players who just couldnt be bothered. Top marks you whinging dicks.
Stop whinging, after every battle do a right click and examine your weapon, check if youve got a powerup attatched, and then initiate combat once more.
