Thread: hmmm best copper for 10k CPU?

I wonder who else thinks that this sounds a bit fishy?
Whit this price tag only use for this copper would be to dupe it into unlimited ammounts and only then later make weapons whit it.
Or place (1 unit)it in museum as best copper of Ecplipse.
Can anyone find some other use for it?

no resource is worth 10k c/u IMHO, but I guess to someone it may be.
We have a (I think it's 1921 OQ+CD copper on Valcyn, it's pretty damn close to the top cap and I think it's selling for 20-30c/u on our server, it's fairly new (about 6months and it was very heavily mined.

10k cpu is alot...even for high end ressources. We had a copper spawn on Scylla about 6 months back, Oq + Cond > 1950...I think the going rate is 100 cpu or something. Highest CPU I've seen is 250 for some 990/887 Avian Meat.

most ive seen was 600cpu on the market for avian meat.
Privatly ive been offered 1000cpu from a friend for the same avian ( which he got for free =)

Best Bria has had was a 1000cond, 990oq Polysteel. About 6 months ago, I still have 10k, sold over 600k of it. last lot went for 51cpu.

I wish that you would be right but nope. post on trade board says 10k cpu vendor had something 250 units for price of 10k cpu.
I to se no way to justify any price past 100cpu for anything that can be mined whit harvesters.

In case no one noticed, or cared ( I sure as hell don't)....
Jedi sabers are NO decay. They use a verysmall quantity of resources. Very specific resources. That's why you're seeing small quantities with high pricetags. The finest culsion isn't very recent on most servers, neither is polysteel, or duralloy. Some might be. How many of your customers blow amillion credits on a gun WITH decay ( geo blaster and nice krayt come to mind)? Now imagine, wanting to have the finest you can make without any decay.
The finest durraloy on Chimaera is Evodee. It is a 2nd week of the server spawn. I sold my absolute last 1k of it at auction for 800 cpu. Even at outrageous CPU, these non decaying sabers will still cost less than a million credits. Only takes 40 units to make a saber. Same with the others.

hmmm last time i asked then LS was based on SR stat. This copper that i talk about are close to max on CD/OQ.
any other ideas?

It's still not worth 10k cpu, and the only reason anyone is buying that is because they don't have the attention span required to find someone selling it at a reasonable price.

Well I think I should pop in here as someone on Eclipse who has sold this copper at 10kcpu. First of all, the stats:
Trimanof - Polysteel Copper: OQ - 994, CD - 991 for a combined OQ/CD of 1985.
According to SWGcraft.com this spawned 352 days ago...so that's within the first couple of weeks of the game and hence there is very little of this going around.
Now as for the 10kcpu price tag. I had never seen this copper before about 3 months ago, well before the lightsaber changes were announced, and I saw someone advertising for 10kcpu. Through some work I managed to get a small amount of this to use for krayt weapons and such and still have a small supply. Since I got my small amount I have not been able to find anyone selling at a better price.
Then just recently the lightsaber resources changed and now for the third and fourth generation lightsabers you need polysteel copper with OQ/CD being the important stats. This has increased the demand for Trimanof to even higher than it was before as all the rich jedi want the absolute best they can and as a previous poster said, sabers no longer decay. Once you have your special saber made it can last you the rest of the game(barring better resource shifts).
Due to all the new demand for special resources I decided to start up a vendor with all the top quality lightsaber resources on it. I included a small amount of Trimanof at 10kcpu just incase any jedi wanted it at that price and so far I have sold about 300 units.
All of this dicussion has been really to setup the situation where it would seem reaosnable that the supply/demand of this resource could reach a 10kcpu price tag. And really, it's only worth as much as someone will pay for it.

Price is and should be what ever the market will bear, if someone gets 10k per CPU then that's what it's worth.
Best copper on Chil is 1998 combined OQ/CD, but I would bet well over a billion units were pulled so it's current value is pretty much chump change, Erco steel on the other hand runs 100 - 120 CPU, etc.
I'd much rather look at the root causes of a 10k CPU resource and discuss why that can be, not if it should be, though in the end that's really a waste of breath as the Dev's don't seem to see it as a problem. Which it's not unless of course you are fairly new and have to face the steep ramp up curve on your own, or you don't have time to go run 3 million credits, or more,in missions in a day.
I'm not talking BH either, I'm talking a Master TKA with nothing better to do then to run around an kick over lairs. I have a client does 3million on a"moderate" day, 5 million if he goes insane and plays all day. Add to that all the credits in the economy because of exploits like the Baz, gambling, or out right dupes, then add to that guys selling credits for real $$$$ which motivates people to do5 million a day runs, and what you end up with is 10k CPU's. Hell, I'm surprised we haven't seen 100k or more.

Sabers aren't all SR now. I tested it out on test 2 when it came out. The devs, after a couple days, gave everyone resources to use, and caused more to spawn of the right stuff. Since main TC was also having a great spawn of culsion already, and not bad polysteel, the couple I had already made were nice.
