Thread: 100% weapon repair tool = always success?

Does the weapon i use this one always get repaired no matter what?

NO, I can confirm a complete failure with a 100% tool. On a dmg sliced scythe no less.

I've had a 100% fail twice in a row. After the first one I thought, well that can't happen again..

Even with a very nice paint brush, I am not a master painter.

I always recommend that people find a Master WS with bonus to repair and let them use the 100% tool on your weapon.

I would suggest you hang it on your wall and never use it again then. It WILL break...

I believe it has been proven that MWS has no perceptible infuence on repair success.


In fact, I do believe the formulas for the rolls are broken (possibly on purpose), since about 80% of the time you get condition loss. The other 10% is split between total failures and minor blemishes.

I don't necessarily agree with his conclussions but the data is nice. Weaponsmiths do seem to have a statistically significant reduction in the worst outcomes (like losing your nice rifle) but there doesn't seem to be a difference for the better outcomes. Weigh your options and decide how willing are you to lose that rifle versus how useful it would befor you to keep using it. There is always going to be a chance that you will either lose it or that the stats will be lowered.


I'd definitely find a weaponsmith with the best tool you can get your hands on and maybe even bonus tapes.

As a MWS I have had only two failures repairing weapons, on both occasions they were scythe blades.

I think the % is NOT the success rate, it is the loss of condition (when minor blem).


Success rate depends on 3 things:

1. MWS bonus (might be working, seem to get a little bit better results)

2. Repair tapes (seems utterly bugged and not working at all).

3. Roll of the dice.


Since people made 100% kits on patch day -the devs got pissed. Weapons/armor would never decay with 100% on minor blem - and made it so that you rarely get minor blem (you get condition loss instead 9 out of 10).


That's my 2 cents.
