Thread: ROTW Quest Rewards

ill add more later as some are on my alts, but one that i have in my inventory that really stands out is

Knucklers of the Katarn

Speed: 2
Damage: 358-715
Elemental: 120 cold
acc: 0
wound 2.7
Dps : 328
Sac: 75

obtained from a simple enuff quest that was done with me and a friend .

obtained from a very long quest starting at the trando slave camps.

Just poping in here even though i'm an AS. mainly because I've looted some of the weapons that havent yet been listed. And frankly think really should be craftable to some extent or other. Dont have any stats handy but i'll list a few off by name at least.


'The void' rocket launcher. Better (if not much but still better) than crafted rocket launchers. Commandos in general though arnt happy with present rocket launchers. Me being ammong that group with a commando alt.


Proton Rifle (Not the carbine. Rifle) Currently only looted off of NK-Necrossis as a random drop. Isnt really -that- wonderful. Still an AoE weapon even though it was from all I've read. Supposed to be a craftable. Non AoE weapon for the commando class (Presently commandos have absolutely no non AoE weapons without taking another profession). So be nice to have at least one or two non AoE ones to grind with. As AoE does 0-1 damage and is just a massive agro magnet of death in pve.


Proton Carbine. MBH Weapon. quest reward. Good gun. Be nice if there was some crafted version. Creka dart carbine is decent. But a craftable master BH carbine woudl be nice.


There's also a few looted TK weapons. But again. Their not craftable either from what I've seen of WS schems so far. (respeced outta merch into MWS so I could make my own grenades)


Phelann Hyper Rifle. Again not craftable.


There IS a WS quest though in the mydrill caves. but I've yet to hear what you get out of it.

you get a knife schem out of the mydill cave that, frankly speaking, is a piece of crap. nice to look at, but you'd never use it...

I did not buy ROTW, as honestly I believe since it comes with JTL anyone who purchased JTL should get the planet of Kashyyyk for free, but I need some information to be able to present to the DEVs. Those of you with guildies and combat alts who have done the missions and gotten the weapon, please post all the stats on each reward weapon so I can have a comparison of what our average stats are compared to the average stats of a quest reward. Thanks!

How about giving us an option to reverse engineer those reward items into a schematic? That way devs don't need to change rewards.

People have complained before that "Why do we get a schematic instead of something we can use withut going to a WS". This way everyone would be happy. I think the schem should have 5 uses and not possible to run in factory. If someone want to keep and use the weapon they can do that or if they don't need it they can sell it/give it to a ws.

I'm concerned about this.


As a WS corospondent you should remove any personal views or feelings that you should be allowed additional software or rights to intectual property free of charge. If you bought a car for $10k then 2 years later it was selling for 5k do you think the automobile manufacture should be required to give you $5k for free? Each new expansion has the ability to breathe life into a game where as the pre-existing software packages loose their value in the market.


RotW is a content filled expansion. There is NO reason why anyone should be "given" this expansion, more appropriately defined as a theme park, for free.


I'll support the community under most circumstances...

IMO, this idea is simply brilliant. It's the best of both worlds really. The looter gets a weapon that is usable right away, or the WS can RE it to get a limited use non-factory schematic. Win-win.

Well, you get TWO different schematics for ths weapons. The first one is a quest schemtic that is used to craft 5 weapons and when cashed in to the WS contact in the village he will complete your quest and update your schematic. At this point your new weapon will require more then just the three crystals. You will need crystals and actuall resources to make these things and from what I recall the DPS is around 290.


Not sure how usefull a 290 dps weapon is although I know some players who wouldn't mind having one - I believe this weapon becomes a permanent schematic once gained.

i haven't been to Kashyyyk since beta when everything was broken and bugged...
