Thread: anyone see the joke we used to call grenades????

C12 under 90
c22 about 250
glop 600
thermals 750
protons under 1k
power ups.. dont work
this is off the top of my head,., not exact stats.. but right about there.. i hand made a C12 some of the schems are changed.. and it came out mid 120's im guessing with top stuff it would have been just over 130.. Please my CDEF has more power than this..
I have an FWG5 that puts out the same damage as a thermal det.. and no its not special,.. its just a run of the mill gun.. with stats like this grenades are offically useless.. i just pulled 300 crates off of sale and dont plan on it changing.. ahh well just thought you all should know..

All I can say is WoW! and i don't really mean surpise. My c-12 went from 207-844 2.9 to 34-74 10.77sec. That is bullsh!t. They were useless before the "rebalance" except for grinding combat xp. Now they are trash.

its not that bad lol... u can still use the proton grenades for weapons

Don't they have an area knockdown and fire DOT with them now though?

Did you also notice that they changed all the components around to require OQ and SR? I bought a ton of resources that are now obsolete and am unable to make the grenades I use to w/o having to buy all new resources.

had 40 crates of c22's on my vendor they were 1800+ max dam now they are just under 300 but the attack speed is 102.4 throw one go make a coffee

Hmm come to think about one thing. When you are in a group you get full XP no matter how much damage you do. Question is if I hit mob with a grenade will I then get full combat XP?
Also wonder if grenades and regular weapons have different timers, i.e throw one grenade then fire weapon immidiatly.

i wouldnt call um usless.. i used um all the time as a non combatant.. but now my cdef has more dps sad

I have not tested protons.. i dont have the lvl to respec..
I do know though C12 are totally usless now.. no matter how you look at it.. even C22 with blasters doing more damage than a grenade the DPS is much much higher on a weapons..
Even glops a good blaster will out damage it 2-1
guess i should post on the commando boards for some more input

The imperial detonators have KD and the Proton grenade has a fire dot (im positive the thermal detonators too, but the exact special effects for all the other grenades aren't coming to me atm
). HOWEVER, for all the grenades...the damage and state effects vs Grenade Timer is woefully unbalanced, and grenades pose to be very little use to a commando except possibly in a PvP enviroment against massed opponents (as support - imagine KDing all enemies in a radius of 21 meters? heh). Its on our top issues...

I do agree there the Proton I think has a dual cause effect on it as for the other grenades I can see them somewhat useful in PvE however for only causing status effects like in DWB where by your group surrounds themselves with NPC enemies that can possibly have effects applied to them and then throw in a couple of glops, cryos, with some protons/thermals for the DoTs then just stand back and use the flamethrower. Atleast we got our wishes fulfilled by having consumables be reuseable like regular weaponry. I'm in love with my Heavy Partical Beam Cannon and its red line of death it shoots out

Did it ever occure that grenads were nerfed to slow down the Jedi grind? Yes it hits our pockets, but the game itself is taking a big hit becuase of all the padawan/jedi. Yeah it sucks but anyhting that can slow down the vast hordes of Jedi is a good things
