Thread: Weapon crafting post CU is fun!!
I agree entirely : ) I was getting bored but I'm having a blast pioneering the new WS experimentation options. I'm feeling that a whole new world of customized weapons maximized in different ways for different play styles will finally become a reality. Cool!

It is great. So much things to play round with. I spent 5 hours yesterday playing with crafting (and getting almost now weapons made lol).
If 3 useful lines to experiment was not "bad" enough, then we get elemental damage to experiment on as well on those guns with elemental damage.
AS and WS have definitine swapped places lol.
I was so bored with weapon crafting before. Now it is fun again.

Yes, I agree there is more to experiment on, but from what I have seen so far you still end up with pretty much the same base DPS. So if you call this fun more power to you.
The question I have, do most weaponsmith plan on charging for a weapon based on the resouces that go into making the weapon or charge based on the base DPS, since from what I have seen so far is that all weapons are pretty much going to have the same base DPS that another weapon with the same level has.
Which also means the rare weapons like the scythe is going to be just a plain old weapon now.
I have always priced my weapons by where they fall within the skill tree, with modifiers for looted and enhanced components as well higher prices for loot schematic weapons.
Whether I continue to do this really lies in whether or not I continue to craft with the new caps they've put in place.

The part I enjoyed about weaponsmithing was not clicking on buttons in the GUI, rather it was interacting with my customers and finding out what they needed.

As far as WS is concerned I like most of the new changes. Not happy about how some of the stuff converted over but oh well. I had over 100 crates of krayted powerhandlers that convered really bad but I also have over 100 sets that I did not craft so am not to worried about it. learning WS all over again is fun. I do think they should have tested this a little more before pushing it live but well, it's here and here to stay. Might as well live with it.
Well we don't have to live with it, because there is always other things we can do with our time and money.
What I will probably end up doing is only logging on every and then to try and keep my venders some what stocked and not let anything be destroyed by not reposting the sell and just hope they make it to were we have the chance and oppurtunity to make the uber weapons again.
