I don't know if there is one (and if there is, if you could drop a link in the thread that would be great), but I was wondering of anyone could write a semi-detailed guide to getting a pair of the Knuckles of the Katarn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Talk to the first wookie on your left as you enter Ryatt. The quest is fairly straight forward. Kill X number of mob A. Kill a crazed Jedi. Kill X number of feral wookies. Etc, etc, etc. It's not too terribly difficult except the spiders on the fourth level that take forever to kill with my unarmed TKM/MDoc. I can kill them but it just takes forever.

Go to allakhazam. Under quests, sort by planet. Look at Rryat Trail quest. It will tell you what you face there and give you stats on the weapon that you get. What it doesn't tell you is that even though feral wookies are no match for us (at cl 79 -80) but when they are with two or more of those spiders...well then wookies are really bears.

I solo'd the entire quest up until Katarn. He is tankable, as long as you have some sort of damage dealer or two.

I soloed all the way up to the Katarn too.

Since then however, they have placed more mobs on the Root sections of the Webweaver level, and possibly made them a little bit tougher, and of course you have to battle with the possibility of falling through the geometry in a few places on this level too. Took me eight attempts to get to end of Webweaver just due to this, the mobs weren't that much of a problem.

The hardest part isMistygnars (think they are part of trail? last mobs before npc gives you Katarn to kill?), but I found a lonely two spawn of these, with a safe areanearby. I managed to break the spawn, and thenit wasjust a caseof keeping them split, by pulling them as they singleyrepopped back to the safe spot. Tricky in itself due to the buggy geometry down in the Shadowlands. I think their respawn is 10 mins, and they take some time to kill, so there is hardly any time for afks, you have to keep pluggng anyway, or face having to rebreak the spawn.

I <3 my Katarn Knuckles, but am disappointed my Necro ones arn't better, as they look far cooler.

Anybody have a general direction on where to find the Katarn? Not asking for a specific location (though feel free to supply one...hehe). Just wondering if it's past the droids or past the Minstingers.

If you have a Ranger with ya track the 'nestlings' his/her babbies. They are allways there, when ya get close the bad beastie will spawn.
