Yes, high level NPCs. Nightsisters on Dathomir seem to be the favorite. You can also try those Kunga/Mokk/Dantari missions on Dantooine, I believe. Pretty much any NPC that cons red to a Master will do, if I'm not mistaken. Those are just popular because they can be easily found in large numbers.

With the new Force Sensitive skills, you can gain Luck skill to increase your chances with loot drops.

I thought that just increased the amount of money you'd loot. Does it increase the chance of something decent being dropped aswell?

I believe its supposed to, however my friends say they have not looted jack sense getting the luck line.

Luck only increases your chance of looting something. In other words, with Luck you get fewer NPCs with no loot. But it doesn't improve the quality of what you loot, or the chance to get better loot.

(Well, not directly, it does indirectly since the more loot you get the greater the chance that you'll get something good...)

Well my friend and I have killed a lot of those janta/mokk and while they do drop DOTed weapons its only staff's and knifes. They do drop crystal a lot also but I havent looted a pistol from them yet.

pulled a nice mind poison SRCombat out of an Enraged Ranc, a guildie gota mind poison FWG from the same a few days later.

I also have the uber exceptional CDEF pistol, top end 210 @0.9 speed ( Phear my noob gun, lol). Also ranc belly loot. You won't get the insane top end best of the best weaps from rancs, but really, what hope do we have of killing a Nova Trooper or DJM for the really good stuff.

the nyax dot's are worthless. they are low powered even if you get one that properly displays its characteristics.
