Being that the CU is being pushed upon us faster than anticipated, I think we need to get a new Correspondent in asap. When will we have the chance to apply, someone needs to be our voice.

Why do you think they bumped it up. AS and WS correspondents both empty... hmmmmm.

I don't think they bumped anything up. I think Players assumed that May 5th release date for RoTW meant one for the CU as well.
But the way they're doing it makes much more sense - get all the server downtime / conversions / possible crashers out of the way and have a semi-stable server so people can get on and PLAY when their download finishes / they get home from the store with their new box.
I'm just wondering when we're gonna start downloading patches and such & how they're going to manage 1 client with some servers converted and some not.

I apologize for the Conspiracy Theory jaunt. I was feeling like a smart ass and noted a funny coincidence. If it's for the reasons you state Ragnaat, I'm impressed and glad they thought things through.

SeaRaptor said he'd stand down once a replacement had been found.
So I assume he's still fighting our cause.
Otherwise I'll do it - someone give me the keys to the Correspondent forum !!

Right, but I have seen no public search for a replacement. Typically, they will ask interested parties to send a letter detailing and explaining why you think you can get job done. I as well, would love to hold those keys. ^^

SeaRaptor is still here.
A Coro is more of a buffer then anything else we the WS are still letting are bugs be known to the Dev team.
But we have not been Nerfed as WS.
Unlike others so were still treading good water.

This is, for the most part, an ungrateful job. The correspondent has to take all our opinions, bugs, and complaints, compile that information into a coherent list, and present it to SOE. The correspondent then needs to track that information and keep his community informed. Also, s/he needs to be prepared that nothing might be done with that information. It will be a fair amount of work and it will be frustrating.
People that apply should take the responsibility seriously and be willing to stick with the game for months. Anyone thinking about quiting should not apply.

Yep, SeaRaptor needs all the relief he can get. He did a great job, but I'm sure he'd love to leave it behind now.
I am a little surprised that SOE hasn't even tried to start looking for a replacement yet.

I agree.
Tiggs was in Indianapolis when I resigned. I'll ping her and see if I can get the replacement process started (though I imagine the dev team is just a tad busy this week).
