Thread: What is the best way to grind to weaponsmith?

Sorry, but it doesn't suck. A lot of us are in mid-grind right now and there are a LOT of threads, here,covering what to grind and how to do it quickly (macros). Best of luck.

I would like to know as well, Since I am a budding Weaponsmith on Lowca.
I already have hefty competition with the WS on my galaxy. They are well known for great weapons and I would like to follow their leads by creating great weapons as well.

You'll need about 450,000 units of steel, a macro, and the schematic "projectile rifle barrel"

it's actually 448k 
seems more then that though! lol! just play and have fun. As long as you get techniques 4 you can sell your guns on the bazzar. Your guns are still way better then any loot someone finds and sells on the bazzar.
I'm not master but i sure do sell all my weapons! wanna know why? cos it's dirt cheap lol! Not like i care i'm not a master yet so i can't charge a lot. so ya don't expect to make a million credits right away cos you won't. takes time, takes socializing, advertising etc etc...
just play the game! more fun that way - oh and join a guild too.
Okay...I have the same problem.
My holocron just told me to master Weaponsmith....phooey. I've never crafted before, except when I spent 2 days crafting just pants to get to Engi4 pack in Beta when you needed it for Commando. Now I have to master weaponsmith....I read about the macro at : http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=weaponsmith&message.id=17317&view=by_date_ascending&page=1, and it seems like it helps people....but can someone please tell me what I need to get to become Master Weaponsmith asap? I don't want to make good weapons, good anything....I just want to ding M. Weaponsmith asap. How much of a resource (like steel or something) do I need? I don't plan on ever surveying...I plan on buying all of my resources / getting them for free from my friends, so don't bother discussing harvesting and whatnot...just....what materials and how much will I need for the fastest grind to M. Weaponsmith...then how do I do them? Thanks!
curved sword and rykk blade, curved is steel and polymer, rykk is iron and polymer
rifle barrels give more xp than the curved sword though, rykk may be a hair higher
for ease of grinding the rifle barrels work best because they only use steel.
