Thread: NEW tusken Rifle loot schema?

Anyway.


A good friend of mine- and he is not the BS / lying / big fish story type (like mr. black cubes in another post), nor has he ever lead me astray- he says that he saw something on one of the galaxy forums about a new drop schematic.


The new drop schematic he described as "cosmetically a tusken rifle, that actually does do KINETIC damage." And the the damage was rather shockingly "near (not the same) as T-21 level damage" (stocked or unstocked i'm not sure what he meant).


He said it was called a "Latinum Rifle" I think.


I've been able to find no reference to this- and he's playing alot of L2 and isn't online to press for details (it was near reset when he told me). But again, he's a credible, casual, non ego liar type, and also making this possibly legit is that there are indeed new tusken mobs.


Just wanting to put out feelers here- please don't blame me for misinformation or hoaxing. I'm trying to find out if it is indeed true, not claiming it exists.


If anyone knows about this, whether it exists, is live, or on test, please share.

The Latinum Rifle, from what I've heard (haven't verified it personally) is the reward for doing Victor's "pet project." When Victor is in powervia the Bestine elections he gives a quest which is essentially to go and kill some tuskens. I'm not sure if it's looted off the boss or given as a reward for completion of the quest, but apparently this rifle is the loot from this quest.


The rifle is given as a final product not a schematic.


I have no way of verifying the stats you quoted, but if it's the LatinumRifle, that's how you get it.

it is infact a reward for the quest, not a craftable item. I have one.

Lithitanium rifle is from Victor's quest in Bestine. It is not a schematic, and I think it's one of three possible rewards. Berserker rifle schematic comes from Corellian corvette but I don't think anyone's found one yet.

Lithitanium rifle was changed to energy yesterday, so it's just as worthless as the Tusken now.

There is also a black gaffi stick. Anyone know how to get that? Is it jsut loot?

Victor's quest in Bestine will give the rifle, the gaffi stick, or an E11 carbine as reward.

Might be pretty tough since there's still that screenshot in the rifleman forum of the Lithitaniumdoing kinetic. Then again, they may still try...

You want a kinetic tuscanI have a couple. They are really not all that hard to get. For some reason some pre patch tuskens did not get the alteration, and so are kinetic. All you have to do is ask around since these guns got maybe a days use some of them are still in bank boxes collecting dust. Non riflemen not realizeing how valuable they are.
