ok i just got Teras Kasi Novice and was wondering, should i climb the damage/speed tree first (sorry forgot the name), the knockdown tree or level all 1 boxes then all 2 boxes and so on... any advice would be appreciated

traditional leveling for a TKN is Balance I for knockdown, all of the Power tree, then all of the Meditate tree, then rest of Balance. and by that time, you should have leveled all of the combat XP tree.

Don't bother with balance 1 first unless you plan to fight humanoids. The way knockdown/dizzy works right now it isn't worth it to kd a non-humanoid as dizzy does not affect them and they get up too fast to notice a difference in damage.
