0-4-4-0 Doc for buffs

TKM nuff said

0-0-0-4 pistoleer 2 bleeds, good melee def

I am mostly a solo player

I also heard that TKM/Rifle was a great way to go, but I would have to give up doc and self-buffing.

TKM provides plenty of melee defense on it's own IMHO. I'd switch to 0/4/0/0 pistoleer if you like using the bleeds. You'll be quicker and more accurate with the pistol. If you decide to start doing some PvP 0/0/4/0 is the way to go in pistoleer to compliment TK.

I may be off base, but I have observed that pistoleer and TK don't really "compliment" each other in the sense that defense mods from pistoleer are only in effect when you have a pistol equipped.
I am a master gunfighter working on TKM. I have noticed that I can get aggro from a thug or whatever at range and they start shooting. They will continue to plink me until I switch from VK to FWG5. At that point, I start dodging almost every shot.
I think having a rangedcombat skill as well as a melee profession will make you more versatile, but not necessarily "uber."

Just my two cents.

good points, but I was under the impression that melee defense did indeed stack no matter what weapon used?
