I am a Trandoshan TKM. I also think being a doc is a good idea if you want to solo ( I am a 2.4.4.0 doc), self buffs and state removal helps a ton (especially being able to remove intimidate, that is a life saver). My mind stats arent too bad, maxed-out they are 1000/550/650, or something like that. Trandoshans only problem is having low secondary action stats, but you wont have to worry about that when you can buff.

Topic 2 - You can solo any mission you get from a mission terminal (non-grouped), just by using power boost and smart pulling (thats with no other buffs). If you have doc buffs and food buffs, you can solo a ton of stuff. Soloing rancors and bull rancors is easy, even if you walk into a group of them and just start pounding. If you get somedoc skills and can remove intimidate, you can solo ancient bull rancors too (eventhough it is a horrible waste of your time, it is just fun to do every once in a while). One of the keys to doing missions is finding mobs with low kinetic resists. It will just make your life easier.

As far as clonning goes, if you are just running easy 9k missions and you can pull well, you will almost never die. The only reason I visit the clonning center is becauseI like to hunt Nightsisters and Geonosians solo. With buffs and doc skillsI can solo up to Nightsister Stalkers and Spellweavers.Other than Nightsisters, the only reason I die is because Iget shot bynpcs using a guns, they sometimes spam special moves.

All of the above info is based on not using any armor, if you want to use armor you can probably solo more, it will take take forever. I only wear armor when I make a bad Nightsister pull or when I am fighting mid to high level npcs that are using guns, other than that I always go armor-less.

p.s. dont worry about nerfs following you, we have been next on the nerf list for awhile.

p.p.s TKA as ofnowis avery fun class to play, solo and groups. Think you would like it, come on over to our profession. But hurry, it may not be fun forever .

Human

all stats cap out at 1100. There fore

health/str/con action/qui/agi mind/focus/willpower

400/400/400 400/400/400 900/1100/1000

The other races may get slight benefits here and there, but for stat purposes, no other race can touch a human's flexibilty in stats.

Boost puts me at 1350 and I can take a muon/brandy and easily have ~2000/~1800/~1800

Curious about the comments fighting without armor. Perhaps my Wookie would be a salvagable TKM. Unfortunately his secondary mind stats limit out at less than stellar numbers. I was thinking aboutrerolling him entirely. I could use the CH to help level brawler and TK more quickly then dropsome Scout and CH skills as I moved up the TK ladder. Eventually my Wookie would have to let go of his favorite nerfed pets in favor of medic and doctor.

Bad thing about wookies is no armorand mind isn't that good, I had a Wookie COmmando, but i changed my mind and wated a Human because he's more flexible, SO i got another account and kept my wookie incase I needed something. Now I'm a TKM abd almost master Doc 1-4-3-4

Frustrated, nerfed Wookie MCH/Pistol looking for a new profession. Since nerfs seem to be following me around I will try to keep a low TK profile, hehe. I can't part with my Wookie after all the sweat to get MCH, so it will be a new toon/server. Thinking about TK/doc for PVE, maybe some PVP (don't want to be owned in PVP - but wont master Jedi Knights own everyone in PvP). Stacking defensive caps - it sounds like a slight nerf; sohaving doc seems to be better for PVE soloing.

Trandoshan - UA bonuses seem like a good deal, good health primary and secondary stats, but soft in the head to start out, don't know if limits disallow migration to reasonable stats. Seems like the starting stats would make early leveling as brawler easier.

Mon Calamari - Good mind stats

Wookie - Seems to be a non-starter without armor and up close combat. Doc bufs would seem to make other races just as strong.

Topic 2 - what's it like TKM solo? Much down time? Can you solo most missions on Endor and Dath? How often do you visit the cloning center?

1. If your fighting the harder stuff with high kinetic resists and higher armor rating it gets to the point where its really hard to damage them even with VK. The down time isthe same as every class unless you use FoW which will most likely fail unless your mind is above 500.

2. I can solo most missions there with nothing except for my powerboost, I dont wear armor either. I dont do missions on Endor so I wouldnt know but on Dathomir the only missions I cant solo are the rancor missions.

3. I actually die alot when im fighting the harder stuff, like geonosians and advanced Kwi's But other then that I usually dont die.

Go TKM and Master Doc, its one of the most popular and selfsuficiant combinations ingame and the mass cant be wrong.

I rarely wear armor. I'm a human TKM. I have migrated my stats to mind -- something you are limited by as a wookie. If you want to doTKA with your wookie, you certainly can, but I think you'll be happier starting a new character as a human.

I have a TKM human with all my stats migrated to the mind pool. I use doctor buffs and no armour as others have suggested. If I'm fighting particularly hard things, I might throw on a Mabari suit just to half the damage I take - especially to my mind pool. A musician buff makes the mind cost of specials negligible. A single brandy does the same.

I also have a Twilek who has just mastered TKM. Here, my mind pool caps at 1100/500/500. This is painful without buffs, doable with brandy. However, musician buffs and a brandy makes life fun.

I think your Wookie can be a lot of fun as a TKM. Just max the mind pool and get buffs (musician+doc).

Or, go with a human - which are the best species due to the ultra high secondary mind stats.
