Hello Thunderwolf,

I just read your submission to the DEVS for the TKA changes. Great job.

I have been thinking of another thing that would help us alot. I will use the barbarian in diablo 2 as my example. The barbarian is the Master of melee combat without a doubt in diablo 2. Yes is main skill is powerful (whirlwind). I would kind of compair this to our knockdown.

But this is what really seperates the Barbarian from the other melee classes of diablo 2.

Masteries and warcries.

Now I know that this game is not diablo 2, but I have a good point so follow along. For those of you that have never played a barbarian, I will list the things that really make him a force besides his combat skills.

Masteries:

1.)Increased run/walk. With this skill you could easily make your run/walk speed up to 50% faster. They could inculde this the meditate tree.

2.)Ironskin. Each point in iron skin was like having better armour. This could tie in with the TKA drawing the force from himself instead of nature. Ironskin could really be the answer for us , since we cannot wear armour. Maybe each skill we had in ironskin could reduce damage by a certain %.

3.)Natural resist. Self explanatory

Warcries:

battle orders- Maxed out in diablo 2 this doubled your life and mana for yourself and your party. I dont think anyclass would have a problem with a TKA or pikeman having a ability like this.

Shout:

A warcry that added massive defense to himself and his party for a short period of time.

Now once again I know that this game is not diablo to, so these are only some general opinions that I have. These skills really helped a well-made barbarian complete and kill a ranged amazon or a elemental sorcy.

Leech was also nice in diablo 2, but I cannot see leech ever happening here

So what does everyone else think?

What skills do you think could be added or modified with the TKA to make him viable once again, or added to any melee class to at least help the whole melee vs. ranged debate.

Thanks

I like the idea of a faster walk and run on the meditate tree, but Battle orders and anything that affects a group should really be a squad leader thing.

Don't get me wrong I do not want to play diablo either.

I am just pointing out what seperates the barbarian, and makes him the king of combat.

I dont want to WW around with a teras kasi, but faster runwalk and the life, would be nice, and something like ironskin

I'm a Wookiee and I can't wear armor. I would love something like Iron Skin. Would help me out a great deal.

.......well that and having knockdown be usefull again.

some of those skills would be great, but (s)he had a point (i forget who said it) warcries should be squad leader skills, but the iron skin would be a good idea for something like master balance or master tka.

"Teras Kasi are lethal, nearly impossible to knock down or unbalance. Facing an opponent armed with ranged weapons, high-level abilities enable him or her to evade blaster fire and close in quickly, bringing his or her enemy swiftly to the ground."

yes you can equip armour

The encumbrence and special cost are way to much to make armour effective for us.

I have a pistoleer and a few other classes on different servers and I never wear armour.

It just doesnt make enough difference to justify its horrible ham cost.

armour is useless in this game, but that is just my opinion
