Thread: You best strategies on pulling MOBs out of a group
Healthshot 1 from marksman advanced pistol skill, only 5000 pistol exp, you could go as far as Novice Pistoleer and get healthshot 2, those are bleed shots and you can stack em, works great when you need that extra damage ![]()
Hey, I am a weak 0/1/0/0 TKA, and I'm having problems pulling MOBs from a group. Everytime I try, they all go nuts and kill me. I have no problems killing red cons, it's just getting alone that proves hard. I was wondering if any of you could share some trade secrets? =]
I use the following two methods:
1) Inch your way closer and closer untill just inside aggro range for the monsters, try to get clearly closer to the one you want to pull than to any others. As soon as you hear the battle music, RUN. Hopefully only the one you got closest to will come. Once you are well clear of its friends, you can fight it safely. Don't hit attack or any moves until then. The thing to learn here is the aggro range of what you are fighting, it's different for every monster. So when in doubt, start far away and move in VERY slowly.
2) Really only useful if you find two monsters together. From about 55m, target one and quickly hit attack then peace. Even though you are well out of range, the one you are *not* targetting will see its friend under attack and come right for you. The one you did target will often just sit there. Run the one that comes at you well away from its friend (with practice you will learn how far to go, not all that far usually..) and then attack. Remember to retarget to the one that comes after you, which won't be the one you first had selected.
Hope that helps. Any other methods?
I've been using #1, but i was wondering about non-aggros like dewback and huf duns....they are trickier
Yeah, play around with #2. The trick is picking which one to attack then peace, so as not to get more coming at you than you want.
Even when you do get too many, if you run for long enough, some will give up and you can get a single to fight.
