Well, had some thoughts over the weekend, and got a rely intersting idea on how to improve our class AND make us more usfull in PvP!

So here it is:

1)
Knockdown. Yes, we all have the HAM costs now, especially with VK's on. I hate the idea of having to take off my VKs when doing ANY special then have to put them back on (ugh). So, instead of hitting us with a huge ammount of self inflected damage, just put a long delay for reuse on KD. Mask scent has a 60 second delay, storing pets has a 60 second delay, so give KD a 15 second delay. Keeps people from spamming KD, ease the HAM cost, and we can use more specials (YAY!).

2)
Pin.
Now here is where it gets interesting. Let all brawlers have the ability to pin a mob to the ground. Basically liker a take-down move and pin them there for a set amount of time, however the player who is doing the pin'ing can not attack during this time, required a lot of effort to keep someone down when they want to get back up right?

To make this fair for PvP, (examples) lets give out brawler novice a pin rating of 3 and defence VS pin of 3, marksman go pin and defence vs pin 1, all else 0. Make checks against the pin to see if it fails or not. As brawlers advance to their eliete calsses give more def VS pin and higher pin ratings.

PvE, lets say a gnort has a pin rating of 0, easy to take down. Ikopi has 3, he's about player size, and lets give a faamba a rating of 10. Now, a single player could NOT pin a faamba and sucessfully hod him to the ground right? But a group of players could. So allow pin ratings to stack on one mob. so with the faamba it would take 4 brawlers to pin that pesky faamba.

What does this do?
Crowd controll, is that combat medic in PvP throwing AoE heals on everyone? bahh... Pin his butt to the ground!
Oh no, Faamba going on rampage and smackign everyone, where's the medic??? Bralwers, help! (oh I would love to hear that shouted)

Granted we would not get exp b/c we were't doing damage, but it makes us usefull to groups, rather than what typically happens for me. (ohhh there's something to kill, 60m away, I start running volly of blasters zipping by my head, one hit in yay, 100 exp for tough mob, go me)

My thoughts, i realy like this idea, how about you?

No we don't need a timer on knockdown. Just make it so the effect of it doesn't stack. I would think if you want to keep something knocked down, keep knocking it down and keep it on the ground. Not spam it a bunch of times and have it unable to do anything for a minute.

I believe that the timer is the best way to handle it, a cancel effect would jsut be over worked and there just isnt that much of a point to it, heh atleast IMHo timer = best

In general I like the idea, but that would end the solo ability of us. Any yellow/white/high dark blue con creature will kill you if you don't use knockdown. They would need to give us some other option of reducing damage. Post-nerf, I did a lot of testing with dizzy/stun/blind/intimidate/warcry, and they simply do not provide a noticeable decrease in creature damage ouput. The sad thing is, no matter how much they nerf Knockdown, it's still our only useful ability for creature hunting. If you're using any other TKA specials whilst hunting creatures (Aside from Berserk situationally) you are simply wasting your own HAM.
