im TKM/masterpikes/4000 doc and over the past few days have been considering to start wearing a RIS armour helmet.
the reason for this is that the ris available to me on my server is around 6500 resists, also the main melle competiition are swordsman build doing adv AB and crit / head combos
wearing a helmet only means i get protection from Armour break enhanced head hit from swordsman (with 75 ab slices) and still get to wear Melle defense enhancing clothes for the dodge bonus when fighting non AB class
does this work for any of you guys and do you notice any difference in mitigation when wearing armour wether it be full suits or single pieces?

I wear 6500/6500 battle armor with 75% AB resists. I PVP, so this is a must. If you only wear one peice then your innate armor is severly reduced, if not gone completely. As soon as they hit you somewhere besides your helm you're gone. Wear a full suit(bracer/bicep optional) of same-stat armor.

ah so one piece doesn't work but a full suit does got ya.
i assume it takes the innate armour away but does it affect dodging at all?

Nope, just affects your innate armor. Defenses are based on what type of weapon you have equipped.

not right, sure you don't need armor for PvE but for PvP.
try a fight against a jedi with armorbreak and you see why.

I never use armor in Pvp and come out great. I always start my attack with armor break. So If a Jedi use it on me, then we are even.
I saw a posting once, it was about how much damage that was reduced by armor. 6500 vs 6000 was bearly noticable. So I spend my cash on clothing attachments instead of armor and I do quite all right, thanks.
(Spent 10mill bynow. Maxed out TKM and Fencer with additional +25 on all attachments that work)
